    The next morning my alarm clock interrupted my precious sleep. I reached over and blindly swatted at the off button, hitting it after a couple tries. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my tired eyes, swinging my legs over the edge to get up. I absolutely hated getting up before noon on weekends, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I padded down the hall to the bathroom and gave my face a quick wash, followed by brushing my teeth and putting on deodorant. Then, I stripped off my pyjamas and put on my cheer uniform. It was green and gold, our school colours, with a large “T” for Trinity High School on the front. Lastly, I did my makeup and put my hair in a high ponytail decorated with a matching bow. I stuffed some toast into my mouth and said goodbye to my mom before heading over to the school. At 9:30 I entered the gym, where the other girls would be, and we warmed up for about half an hour. Once it was time for the football players to run out, we positioned ourselves on the field, forming a “tunnel” for the boys to run through. The sports announcer called out our team, the Trinity Knights, and the boys ran through our tunnel of cheerleaders decked out in all their gear. Changjo led the team, and as he ran by I caught him wink at me from behind his helmet. I pretended not to see it. Once the boys had completed their runout, the whistle blew indicating that the game was about to begin.

    I’ll spare you the details of the game because

1.) I don’t understand football, so the best description I could give would probably be “the quarterback threw the ball to the other guy, who ran down the field and scored a point while other guys were tackled,” and

2.) I really don’t want to bore you.

Needless to say, the Trinity Knights won by 32 points by the third quarter. The other cheerleaders and I screamed our lungs out for our boys as they ran towards the locker rooms in a herd. I stayed for a while after the game, hoping that I would find Namjoon somewhere in the cr
