Jonghyun sped up a little and by the time they reached the fence the sun was already up and both of them were gasping for air, sweat dripping from their faces. Onew squeezed through the hole first and started to jog towards the building, the younger following right after him. Then Jonghyun began to slow down with every step he took, and soon he just stopped on his tracks and watched Onew's back get smaller and smaller. What was that feeling? He felt anxious, as if walking inside the building would make him wake up from his dream. The night he spent with the older suddenly felt surreal, slipping through Jonghyun's fingers to leave nothing left behind.

Onew looked back and noticed Jonghyun just standing frozen with slumped shoulders and a blank expression on his face. Not wanting to risk being heard by someone else he run to him instead of just shouting.

"Yah. Why are you standing here we need to hurry up." he said as he shook the younger's arm. Getting nothing for response he felt worry wash over him. "Hey. Jonghyun what's wrong?"

Normally he would've been euphoric to be finally called by his real name but now it just made him feel that whatever happened in the forest was indeed over, that it was just a beautiful dream that had already shattered into dust. The older stared at him dumbfounded having no idea what was happening. "Uhhh... Look, we need to-... " he then shook his head in resignation and pulled Jonghyun on his back. "Whatever. You better remember this moment and how I'm sacrificing myself for you you ." he made the younger wrap his arms around his neck and hurriedly scooted towards the building.

Jonghyun slid off Onew's back and gave him an apologetic smile before silently following the sergeant.

"I'm sure both of you know that leaving after the curfew is strictly forbidden, especially you, private Lee. Do you have any reason behind your behavior that lead to breaking this rule?" he asked making himself comfortable in his armchair, his voice terrifyingly calm.
