There was somewhat of a commotion between the nurses. Alice could hear some of them squealing down the hall. Tired after a long day of studying without much of a break, Alice's legs were beginning to become numb after she had been sitting on them for an hour, still studying from her textbooks and reviewing notes. She figured a walk to the bathroom and back would be good.       Alice stood up and set her textbooks on the large cushioned chair before walking out the door to go to the bathroom.        After walking back from washing her face and putting her hair into a bun, Alice could hear a new voice coming from Mark's room.       "She should be back soon. She probably went to the bathroom," Alice knew that was Nurse Sun's voice.       "Oh, okay. I'll wait for her then," and that was the new voice. It sounded like a man. And then a bell went off in Alice's head and she realized who it was.       Opening the door, a faint scent of musk hit her, not the usual menthol and mint scent she always had known. Standing next to Mark's left side was a tall boy, not too tall, wearing a black hoodie, skinny jeans, baseball cap, and white contrast sneakers. He was carrying black backpack and holding his wallet as well. He didn't fit in well with the countryside. Anyone could tell that he belonged to the city and its nightlife.       "Ah, Alice! This is Jackson Wang, Mark's friend," Nurse Sun introduced, bringing the stunned Alice in to greet the new visitor.       "Uh, hi. I'm Jackson," he bowed, almost hitting his knees with his nose, "I came here from Seoul yesterday."       Alice bowed in response, "I'm Alice Yoo," she didn't know what to say in addition. Silence overtook the meeting and the two just stared at each other, neither moving at all.      Nurse Sun could sense the odd tension of their first meeting and began to awkwardly laugh.
