It had been a four weeks since Mark had woken up from his coma.       In those four weeks, a lot of things had happened.       First, Jackson decided to move in the vacant condominium that was two houses away from Jiah's and they celebrated the New Year together with Bambam included.       Second, Jiah had ran into Jaebum at the prep school multiple times, and the two apologized furiously to each other for misunderstandings each time they saw each other, despite Jaebum still having feelings for the girl.       Third, Jiah passed her classes and exams and earned her credits for each class she enrolled in.       Fourth, Mark's condition was slowly going back to normal due to his treatments and therapy at the hospital.       At the end of those four weeks, Mark was able to be released from the hospital and spend extra time recovering with his parents while they stayed in a hotel for a couple of days.       But his parents were supposed to go home soon, leaving Mark by himself in Busan.         "You have your own house Jackson. Why are you still here?" Jiah asked, throwing a pillow at the boy, who was slumped on the couch watching t.v.       "Your t.v. is bigger than mine and you have more food," Jackson replied blandly, sipping on small bottle of a yogurt drink. Jiah gave him an annoyed looked, wondering how she ever put up with someone like him for more than a month.       Jiah gave a scoff and went back to her room to get ready in front of her vanity mirror. Today was the day that she would be able to visit Mark without him laying in a bed being asleep or looking sad because of how many questions the doctors would ask him. She had seen him, but not talk to him, while he was still in the hospital, but she hadn't been able to see him while he was out. His parents had invited her for dinner before they had to go back home and of course Jiah agreed.       Jackson wanted to come, too, but Jiah didn't mind. He'd be there for comedic relief at least. The food bill would be more expensive with his appetite, but it was a special occasion where all of them were going to eat together for the first time.       They were to meet at a simple Korean barbecue restaurant, nothing too fancy or too hard to get to, in the evening at five. It was currently four, and Jiah and Jackson were already ready to leave the house.       Closing and locking the door behind her, Jiah felt excitement build up inside her. It would be the first time in months since she would be able to see Mark moving on his own, maybe even speaking. Her heart beat with that fact. Everything would be normal, like how it was a year ago.       She stood bewildered by that thought, her hands clasped in front of her as she looked up to the sky with a dazed look, a smile plastered on her face. Jackson noticed after only hearing his footsteps moving along, and he scowled at the girl, grabbing her arm and pulling her forward.        It was a busy Friday afternoon in the city, and Jiah and Jackson had time to spare before they were to go meet up with Mark and his parents, so the two decided browsing through some shops in search for clothes.      "This hat is nice, right?" Jackson asked, looking at himself in the mirror as he adjusted a black snapback over his head. Jiah sat down on a small seat near the shoe racks.       "Yeah, it's nice," she mindlessly replied. Her thoughts weren't focused on the hats, they were more focused on how she would greet Mark again. Would everything be awkward? Or would everything be fine? What would she say? Something along the lines of, I'm sorry I forgot all about you and started my life over, but you were put into a coma trying to bring me back. Was it really proper to apologize? She had no idea, because she hadn't spoken to Mark. She didn't know his point of view at all.       "Hey, Yoo Jiah," Jackson scowled, putting the hat back and striding over to the girl, "What's up with you?" He noticed that she had been acting weird since they left the house.       "Nothing, just thinking. That's all," Jiah smiled. Jackson could only nod his head, unsure of whether to question more or not. It was still odd for both of them to say and hear Yoo Jiah instead of Alice.       Jiah gave a smile and picked up a nearby blue, white, and gray color block snapback. It seemed like something Mark would wear. She remembered that he would wear blue a lot, which was one of her favorite colors on him.       It was too big on her, but she tried it on anyway, only to have it cover her eyes.       Jackson gave out a laugh, "This is a dude's hat," he chuckled, lifting it off of her and looking at it closely, "Hm... This is cool-- something what Mark would like," Jackson smiled, setting the hat back on its rack.      "Maybe I'll buy it sometime," Jiah smiled back, her worries all ending with the thought of Mark and his adorable smile.         Jackson pulled Jiah along the sidewalk so she wouldn't be dragged the other way by other pedestrians, and they finally made it to the restaurant at the of five o'clock.       To their pleasant surprise, they saw both Mark's parents. They waved at each other, the parents waving for the young kids to come sit with them. Jiah gave a sweet smile when they walked over, but her feet suddenly stopped once she saw Mark sitting down, facing her. A frown appeared on her face without her realizing it, and she gasped suddenly when Mark looked up to see the standing girl.       "You're Jiah aren't you? Sit here, sweetie," Mark's parents called to her, and without taking her stare away from Mark, Jiah nervously sat in the chair across from him. Jackson noticed the anxious look on Jiah's face. He soon realized what she had been thinking so hard about earlier.       "Jiah? Are you okay?" Mark's mom asked, and Jiah broke her stare.      "Ah, yes. I'm fine," Jiah replied back quietly, her hands clasped under her stomach securely. She didn't know what to say to the boy in front of her. He looked healthy again, way handsomer than she last saw him. He was almost glowing, his complexion a smooth and fair color like cream. His hair was neatly styled and his bangs swept right above his eyes in a natural and cute fashion. She had never felt her heart beat that fast before.       "We should order now, huh?" Jackson cheered, pulling out a menu and calling for a waitress to come over. Jackson and Mark's parents talked happily while the couple just stared at their hands or anywhere else that wasn't each others' eyes.         It was late when the group had begun to finish eating. Neither Mark or Jiah had said anything to each other, and everyone else had taken note of the silence and thought it was better to not mention it, trying to avoid any sort of awkwardness. But it was evident that the two were hurting, and Mark knew that it would only get worse.      "We were thinking of bringing Mark back home with us," Mark's mother said, rubbing her hand at the back of Mark's neck, who just looked down. He hadn't said anything since he had woken up that morning.      In fact, he hadn't said anything in a couple of days before then. When he was rehabilitated and able to speak after waking up and

Chapter 17: This story has been on my subscription lists for the longest time and I can't believe that I didn't read this earlier. The story progressed well and the way how the characters all knew each other from connections were amusing. I wanted to read a story with Mark last night cause the feels got me and this story was perfect. Even though Mark wasn't there the whole time, it still felt like he was there through the way you explained his story with Alice or should I say Jiah. Overall this story is great and I would recommend it to anyone even if your bias isn't Mark.
