Chapter 1
A Not So Ordinary Love StoryI'm Youngji, 20, married for 3 years. Meet my husband, Jackson, 20. We met 5 years ago during a school fair; their school fair. Like a typical love story, it started with boy met girl, fell in love at first sight and lived happily ever after. Wait, erase last part. Not every love story ends in happily ever after, like ours.
Let's start from 5 years ago.
It was a Saturday, a rainy Saturday. I hate rainy days. I lost in a bet among my friends and as a consequence, I had to go to an all-boys high school annual fair... stag. What was worse about it, well aside from the rain, was I had to get someone's number. Jackson Wang's number. Yeah, Jackson, my husband now. He was quite popular in their school. He's a fencing/saber champion and I must admit he's got good looks. And he's notorious for being a total jerk. I went to the fair in the afternoon. I am not exactly a morning person. The day was a series of unfortunate events. I asked my dad to drop me off but he forgot and left early, leaving me with no other choice but to take the bus. It rained heavily since morning and I forgot to bring an umbrella. Ah, I don't usually bring umbrella. It's just a hassle. I had to use my bag to cover my head until I reached the bus stop. I was drenched in the rain when I reached the school. Since it was raining hard, they had to set up their booths inside the gym and others in classrooms.
'Uh, excuse me.' I asked a guy who looked bored in a what looked like bookworm's corner.'Do you happen to know where i can find Jackson Wang?' Without saying a word, he pointed me to a direction. 'Thank you.' I said and headed towards the where he directed.
I passed by many girls giggling, flirting with some boys. It reminded me of me and my friends. I smiled thinking about them but then I remembered why I was there. I missed them already but I got a little upset thinking how cruel the consequence was for me. I stopped when I saw the sign saying 'Enter at your own risk'. 'What the hell is this?' I thought. I looked around and nobody seemed to dare enter the tent. I looked up and saw a huge sign 'Jackson's Lair'. That made me laugh. I could tell how stuck-up the guy was. I took a step inside but someone grabbed my arm.
'Youngji-ya!' I turned around and saw Sungjae. Sungjae was my childhood friend but his family moved when we were in 5th grade and since then we never saw each other.
'Sungjae-ya! Long time no see.' I gave him a big hug but he slightly pushed me back.
'Whoa! You're soaked!' He ruffled my hair and grabbed my hand. He led me to the restrooms.
'Hey! wait. These are for male.' I said.
Sungjae raised an eyebrow. 'Obviously, you're in an all-boys school.' He said in sarcasm and laughed.
'Yeah right.' *facepalm*
