Danse Macabre"Master."
"Yes, my dear Tao?"
"Master said before that we can leave if we ever find reason to."
The man smiled benevolently. "And you found one." It wasn't a question.
"Yes, Master," Zitao confirmed, head bowed.
"Well then, you know the door is that way."
Zitao's head snapped up, studying the man in disbelief. "Really? That's it?" The excitement was evident in his voice.
"Yes."
"Thank you, Master."
Zitao bowed once more and turned around, walking towards the light.
When the door shut, the man sighed. "Does he really not know the meaning of 'leaving'? Of course it's not that easy. He was my most treasured killer for all these years, but once he has thoughts of leaving, he's a threat to us all." Shaking his head, he muttered, "Love makes fools of us all."
He snapped his fingers and another figure materialized from the shadows.
"Follow him," the man ordered and the figure obeyed, disappearing back into the darkness.
"How will he feel knowing he single-handedly signed his friends to this fate, just for naive love?" the man wondered out loud to himself. "It really is a pity to end things so soon, but once one domino falls, it is all over."
Sighing once again and pocketing his weapons of choice, Kyungsoo stood up.
