“Thanks” you said as you took the cup of hot chocolate.

It was quiet as you both did your homework, with the faint sound of the raindrops hitting the window.

You looked up at Taec, who was currently seated at his desk, and saw him equally looking at you. Panic, you quickly looked back at your work.

‘When did I even start feeling this way about Taec? This can’t be real, no, I’m probably just making myself believe that I like him because of what Eunjung said. Yes, that’s right.’

“Hey do you want more hot chocolate?”

Startled, you quickly looked up at him. He raised his eyebrows, a bit confused by your antsy behavior.

“Uhm yeah, thanks” you nodded.

‘Oh my god. Was he always this nice? And did he always look this..well..good? No ____ you’re just confusing yourself, snap out of it, SNAP OUT OF IT!’

“Here you go”

You smiled at him and he smiled back.

A smile full of sincerity and warmth, and that soft look, you felt safe and protected with him. Maybe you should listen to Eunjung and just give him a chance…

“Taec?” you called out softly.

“Yeah?”

“How do you feel about..”

And then your phone rang.

“____ where are you? I just got back to the dorm room and I saw your room card in here!”

“Yeah, I forgot my card so I’m a Taec’s right now, I’ll be back in a bit! Kay, bye Nicole.”

You turned back to look at Taec, “I guess we’ll talk next time, so uhh..bye! Thanks for letting me hang out here.”

You got off his bed and picked up your backpack, about to leave when he grabbed you by the wrist.

“How do I feel about what?”

You hesitated, the minor bit of confidence you had just minutes ago completely out of your system.

“Nothing, it’s nothing Taec” you said as you stared down at your feet.

He didn’t let go.  You looked into his eyes.

“How do you feel about me?” you breathed.

He chuckled softly, “I guess there’s no hiding it now.”

He got silent for a bit, he seemed to be as hesitant in giving you an answer as you were asking him.

“I like you.”

The way your heart beated at that moment, the happiness you felt at that moment, and that warm feeling that rushed up to your cheeks, the only other time you felt like this was the day Junho kissed you.

Suddenly there were no questions. No, ‘am I making the right choice?’ You knew that this was the start of something amazing, so you couldn’t help yourself from burying yourself into his arms.

“Why did it take me so long to realize that you were the one?” you murmured into his chest.

All he did was hold you tighter.
