Chapter 7
UNexpectedCHAPTER 7
Yumi’s POV:
“Later this afternoon, classes are to be suspended because of a sudden faculty meeting. But instead of letting you all go home the assistant principal wanted all of you to go to your respective clubs and decide what to do for the upcoming school festival…”
I heard Maeda-sensei discuss, but I wasn’t really paying much attention. I don’t care about any clubs nor any festivities that are to happen anyway.
“As for the transfer students, Lee-san and Lee-kun, both of you should submit the club forms at my office later so that I can inform the club presidents of the clubs you’ll be joining about your admission. You understand?”
I nodded without even looking at her. Again, I don’t care about any clubs. I can join whatever club there is as long as they don’t have many members. The lesser the members, the better.
“Yumi… I’ll be trying out for the basketball club. I wanted to ask you to cheer for me later but since Yuuki will be there, just pray for me, will you?” Yuki said before smiling at me.
“I will…” I said and smiled back, though it wasn’t really considered a smile anyway. Yuki just shrugged and went back to what he was doing earlier.
“Hey, you can join our club… Gardening Club.” Hiragawa-san said, looking at me. She handed me a form and continued talking with a smile painted on her lips.
“We don’t have much members… Actually, we just have enough to stay as a club. And it’s really hard keeping up, since we need to take care of the garden, as well as the greenhouse. Plus there’s also the plants up on the roof that we often do forget to take care of…”
“How many members are there?” I asked, taking the form from her. This made her smile widely at me.
“I think we’re about seven… since we only need seven members in every club for it not to be dissolved then we made sure that we’ll have seven members every year… Pretty smart, don’t you think?”
“I want to be alone to take care of the plants on the roof then.” I said and started filling out the form without even waiting for the class president to respond. But she didn’t really mind it, she just smiled and nodded then looked up front again.
Yuuki’s POV:
Solitude.
This has always been my favorite spot. Well not this particular rooftop, but... Well, I just love rooftops. They're always empty and quiet, it the best place to relax--
kaerizaku koi janai to
hanabira ga matte sasayaita
'What the?!' I had to stop talking--thinking to myself when I heard that... voice?
umaranai kyori kakaete
ketsumatsu ga sotto shinobiyoru
'Is that considered singing?!' I thought. I sat up and forgot my plan of relaxing alone and enjoying the silence, instead I peeked to see who was making that awful sound...
ano koro wa nani hitotsu
utagai naku ireta no ni...
'And what the heck is she singing anyway?!' I was about to tell her to shut up but when I saw who it was, I stopped myself from even making a sound.
futari nikaime no sayonara
It was Yuki's twin sister. The creepy girl who made my heart skip a bit with just one look. It wasn't 3the heart-stopping kind
