CHAPTER 6
Yuki’s POV:
“They say that the basketball club is open for new members now and they tried to get me into the team… You said you wanted to play as well, right? So, you wanna try it out?” Yuuki-kun asked me right when I came out of the room.
“Basketball?” I smiled, I really do like basketball but…
“If you’re worried about your height then don’t. As long as you’re good then it’s cool… So?”
“But…” my smile faded as I shrugged and looked back at the room and saw my sister looking at me. As much as I love basketball, I love my sister way way waaayyy much! And I don’t want her to be disappointed or any of the sorts just because I didn’t listen to her when she said that she doesn’t want me hanging around Yuuki-kun.
“Yumi might get mad again… I’m sorry but it seems she dislikes you… a bit. I need to talk to her first.” I said before forcing a smile when I saw Yumi looking towards us.
"Your sister really has some anger issues, huh? Better enroll her to an anger management class..." Yuuki said before looking at where I was looking. He heaved a sigh before nodding and said,
"But she's top priority for you... Well, just tell me if you're gonna try out. Alright?" then he said goodbye. I might have been rude but right now, Yumi comes first. She’s been into so much and I don’t want to add up to that.
“What was that?” I heard her ask as I came near where she was. I got my things before voicing a low,
“Huh? Oh, nothing…” then I went out. Right now, I’d do everything that would make Yumi happy and at ease. I promised to do that when Mom died. And when that guy left even before Mom’s funeral, I swore I’ll always be beside Yumi, whatever it takes I’ll stay with her.

Yuki’s POV:
It was the most silent 15-minute walk I had with Yumi. We just walked from school going home, but instead of talking about things or joking around like we used to, she remained quiet up until we arrived home.
Yumi wasn’t like that before. Actually, she was far from the creepy girl everybody’s been gossiping about. Lee Yumi was known to be a really beautiful girl inside and out. She was very pretty, always have been. She also had this sweet smile pasted on her lips every time. She’s not too tall but it wasn’t hard to notice her since she’s very bubbly and very cheerful. She’s also very smart but she’s not a show off, in fact she’s very approachable. She’s in some ways strict but all in the right way. And above all, his sister wasn’t scary or creepy in any way before… She was kind, pure, and very much a loving person.
But her being too kind and too loving might be the root of her change. She changed when she experienced how it was to be utterly and inexplicably hurt. She changed when she knew that love wasn’t all there is.
She started changing when the person she likes the most, her boyfriend, betrayed her by leaving her for her friend. She became far more worst when Mom died at that same day Shin Woo, her boyfriend, left her. But the real reason why Yumi can’t be like how she used to be was when... their 'father' left them right after their Mom died, he didn’t even wait until after the funeral before he left.
'I hate that guy... I curse him and everything that goes with him'. I thought.
Mom is Yumi’s bestfriend and it was evident how terrible it was to lose her. And when that guy left, Yumi was too shocked, she felt that he betrayed not just them but also their mom.
“…Yuki?”
Right now, I’m all she’s got. I’m the only one left to protect her. People might say that I’m being overly protective of her, but Yumi getting hurt is more than enough reason for me to try to be there for her.
“Ne Yuki-ssi?”
We’re the only ones left to be there for each other… And I won’t disappoint her, I won’t disappoint Mom.
“HEY!”
“Huh?!” I was shocked to see Yumi waving her hands in front of me.
“I’ve been calling you since forever, Yuki! What pla
