Chapter 11
Teach MeUnedited.
Aeri peeked through the windows of the crowded music room and scanned the dozen heads in search of Kris. The young girl stood back when the wooden doors swung opened and watched as students piled out of the practice room, each lugging a personal instrument with them, all the while searching for her boyfriend in the sea of students. When she stole another glance into the classroom and saw that it was empty, she ran in and called for her boyfriend.
“Krissy!” She screamed into the vast room, her voice echoing back. She looked around the room and yelled for him once more. “Kris!” Where is he? She thought was a pout. We were supposed to go out for lunch.
Aeri heard a creak behind her and quickly whirled around to face whoever was behind her, hoping it would be her boyfriend. The girl frowned when she turned and saw an unfamiliar face, smiling dashingly down at her. “You're....not Kris.”
The male before her snorted with a curt nod. “Neither are you.” The stranger eyed Aeri up and down, a playful smirk on his thin lips, before he took a step forward, making Aeri shrink back in discomfort due to the close proximity.
Aeri was the youngest out of three children and the only girl, she was used to being around guys yet she lived a very sheltered life where any interacts she did have with men were either relatives or close family friends. She didn't surround herself around many boys and didn't even have close guy friends. And now that there was a strange male invading her personal space, it was making her extremely uncomfortable.
“What's a pretty girl like you doing looking for stone cold Kris?” The rather feminine looking male asked. “A guy like him would eat you.”
“Hey, aren't you the black swan?” Aeri jumped and turned to her left when someone whispered those words into her ears. Yet again, someone she wasn't familiar with was in her personal bubble. “You are, aren't you. You were the lead, right?”
“Yeah....” She observed her new guest, eying his blonde hair and dimpled smile. Both men before her were attractive but something was off about them and they made her skin crawl.
“What are you doing down here?” The guy with the deep dimples asked her while reaching out to twirl a lock of her hair around his fingers. She stepped back and swatted his hand away, giving him a glare for being so bold.
“She's looking for Kris.” The first guy she met answered, his eyes roaming her body freely and lingering on her exposed legs. “You're pretty cute, you know?” He bluntly complimented. “Why are you looking for Kris, anyway?”
“He's my boyfriend.” Aeri replied proudly, hoping that her taken status would be a turn off and chass these guys away.
“What?! Kris is dating you?!” A new voice and face butted into the conversation and suffocating bubble Aeri was unfortunately involved in. The new intruder was a bit shorter than the other two, had a wide grin, and shaggy brown hair.
Aeri nodded her head and tried to calculate a plan on how she could escaped from this uneasy situation and run away, hopefully finding her boyfriend along the way.
“But you're hot.” The third boy blurted, he too shamelessly checking the sole female out. “And Kris has a stick up his .”
“He does not!” She couldn't help but defend. That was her boyfriend they were speaking so rudely of. Aeri wouldn't allow it. “He's sweet.”
“Oohh protective.” The latest visitor teased. “How sweet.”
“But it's understandable.” The doe eyed boy chirped as he swiped his thumb over his lips. “He's the lead cellist and she's the star performer. Kinda cute actually.”
Aeri heard the boy with dimples hum to himself and she set her guard up even higher. “You know, a y girl like you shouldn't walk into a place full of guys all alone.” He began with a sly smile, knowing that Aeri was uncomfortable with the close proximity but not caring and only leaning in closer. “It's dangerous.” He whispered into her ear. “We aren't all sweet like that boy of yours.”
