Chapter 8

Dongwan looked at the two guys and was speechless. For days Minwoo had wanted the man to just shut up, but this time he wanted to hear him speak. He desired to hear him. He wanted from the bottom of his heart that Dongwan would start talking and tell them that there was nothing to worry about and he won’t tell Eric. But of course…he was the best friend. He would have been a lousy friend if he had not told him. Minwoo was suddenly panting, as he removed Hyesung’s arm around him and ogled at the guy he hated.

“Dongwan, we…we don’t…we…” He stuttered.

“Why? Why would you…do this to Eric?” Dongwan asked, frowning sadly, his hands on the chest, gripping the collar of his shirt. “What have we done to you?”

Hyesung wanted to cry, and he was ready to beg on his knees. But instead he just remained silent. He had nothing to say. If it had been Eric, he would have already killed himself. At least now he could explain himself and say that he was falling in love with the CEO.

“You’ve done nothing.” Hyesung finally whispered.

Dongwan seemed like he was about to cry. But he bit his inner cheeks not to let the tears roll. He sniffed and wiped the spot underneath his nose, as he glanced at Minwoo and then the tall man. If he had wanted, he would have already informed Eric. But something in those shocked and shimmery and pleading eyes made him reconsider his duties.

“Dongwan, I…” Minwoo could not go on. “I…I really love Eric…”

Hyesung gasped. No. No! That couldn’t be! No! He felt the tears stinging his eyes when he grabbed the older man’s arm and shook his head. But the short man tossed his head at the best friend and chuckled, removing the hands from his with a frantic shake.

“It’s time to let him go, Hyesung.” Minwoo said. “I love him.”

Dongwan stared at the determined face and felt his heart beating even faster. What the hell was the matter with him? If he, and this was just a ‘what if’ – question, was in fact in love with Lee Minwoo – which he obviously was not –, why did he find that determined love confession towards other man so ing attractive? Aish, Dongwan did not even understand himself anymore.

“But…Minwoo…” Hyesung’s voice was shivering.

“Let it go, Pil Kyo.” Minwoo snapped. “HE IS MINE!”

Andy arched his neck and rubbed the swollen part of it. He was exhausted. The day had finally ended and he needed to close to cafeteria. Last customers had left minutes ago and he was switching off the coffee maker. Andy sighed, entered the backroom to go fetch his bag and then came back and startled, letting the bag slither from his shoulder.

“What…what are you doing in here?” he asked.

“I…I wanted to…to see you.”

Andy stepped out from the counter for the first time and proceeded to the tall guy. He looked up at him and smiled, looking intensely into his eyes. Junjin looked nervous. Andy knew he had been preparing himself for days, and now he finally had the courage. Maybe Minwoo and Hyesung had given him a nudge. They stared at one another before Andy’s arms went over the shoulders and Junjin’s landed onto the back.

It was a hot, hand roaming hug.

“Ah, I love you.” Andy sighed, eyes closed.

“I love you too.” Junjin moaned and squeezed the shorter guy.

When they let each other go, they glimpsed at the vague and hesitant eyes and leaned in slowly, pressing their soft lips together.

When Eric entered the office, he was instantly introduced to a new secretary. The man scowled and hoped it was just a practical joke, as the new guy explained how experienced he was in this new job. Eric finally perceived that it was freaking real as he walked to his office and found Hyesung and a box packed with stuff on his lap. The pretty guy was staring at his feet.

“Yah, Pil Kyo!!” The CEO yelled. “What the hell is that guy doing there!?” He was enraged.

“Eric…I…I want to quit.” Hyesung whispered upset, standing up from the seat he had once sat on. “I…I have to quit.”

The tall man furrowed his eyebrows angrily, as he locked the door to his office and marched towards the desk at the very back of the room. He glared at the younger man, gestured towards the chair and slammed his onto his. Their eyes met, but soon Hyesung diverted his gaze, looking at the left. He was willing to speak, but he could not promise himself that he could keep control if the eyes drilled into him.

“No one quits without my permission, ok?” Eric retorted.

“But—“

“No, buts Shin Hyesung-sshi!” The secretary shuddered when he heard that name from the guy’s mouth. “I will prevent you from quitting!!”

Even though the slender man had been determined to let go of the CEO, he blushed when he heard those commands. Aish, he was so smitten that he just couldn’t stop himself from flashing a smile that heated the CEO. Eric was breathing in and out fiercely, steam escaping from his nose, when he stood up, strode towards the secretary, pulled him up by the collar and pressed him against the locked door. Hyesung had only a fraction of a second to react before his lips were stolen to a hungry kiss and his clothes were being seized.

“Aren’t you supposed to let me get back to work?” He murmured when the neck was being kissed.

“I was planning to do it in 15 minutes…” The CEO mumbled to the skin and then pulled off the shirt. “If that’s fine?”

The door was kicked and punched. Minwoo scurried to it and opened it, an unamused look on his handsome face. Dongwan was behind it, and he was angry. They were staring, or more like glaring at one another, when the older man’s left wrist was caught and he was pulled out barefoot. Minwoo comprehended that last night’s conversation had not been enough for Dongwan – and he had almost cried and been vulnerable and stuff. But he was obviously full of adrenaline when they stopped outside the apartment building and stood at the smoking area.

“What the hell is the matter with you!?” Minwoo screamed. “We had the talk last night! You promised you won’t tell Eric and either one of us will break up with him! That someone is Hyesung!! He will quit his job today and let me have Eric!!” He babbled.

Dongwan gritted his teeth.

“WHAT!?” The older one hissed. “You have problems with that!?” he shrieked.

“YES! As a matter of fact I do!!” Kim Dongwan yelled out loud, saliva flying out like a fountain. “Hyesung is so much better for my best friend than you have ever been!! With you it’s just , you know. With you it’s excitement and not needing commitment. You are just a booty call!” He spoke.

Minwoo chuckled ridiculed and lifted his hands onto his hips, rolling his eyes slowly. It was a chilly autumn noon, and he was only wearing a tank top and sweatpants. His hair was messy and he had not really done anything to his face either, as he had been pulled out from his apartment like someplace was on fire.

“Eric loves Hyesung!” Dongwan screamed.

“Oh, oh he does, doesn’t he?!” Minwoo exclaimed, knowing that the younger man was lying. “Oh he would take Hyesung to a hotel room and seduce him and give him a present, right!?” he added angrily.

The other short man snorted and palmed his face, as he muttered, “He would give Hyesung a wedding ring!!”

Ok, that hurt Minwoo. That hit him under the belt and to his heart as he grabbed the collar of the younger lad and brought his face much closer to his. Dongwan just stared at him, lips curved downwards, nose puffing out warm air as he gripped the two small fists and brushed them off.

“You think couple bracelets mean something to Eric?” The voice was shivering. “Do you think Eric cares about couple bracelets?” Dongwan whispered.

Minwoo pursed his lips in fury and stomped his foot.

“I care about couple bracelets!! They are a big deal to me!! If he gives me one, then I am happy! I don’t care who bought it and from which shop, as long as he gave it to me!!!” He snapped.   

"So now we're arguing about a bracelet!? What about the fact that you are deceiving my best friend!?" Dongwan yelled. "Is it because of money? Do you need money!?"

Minwoo scoffed annoyed and brought his hands onto his hips again, slightly lifting up the hem of the white top. "I don't need money you damn turd!!!!" he screamed. "I just happened to fall in love with him, ok!? But your stupid bracelet," Minwoo ruffled the thing with his other hand. "…RUINED EVERYTHING!"

Dongwan gritted his teeth. "Hey! I was willing to buy you a present! I bought you something I knew you'd like!!! So what if Eric said it was from him!? HE IS A BUSY MAN! He is a fair guy! He doesn't deserve someone like you! He deserves someone who wants commitment!! He deserves someone who does not think about his own good and is selfish!! And shut your filthy mouth!" He brought his hand up to gesture that it was the end of the discussion, but Minwoo just snorted.

"Your friend is the one cheating on me with my best friend. And, perhaps, Mr. Kim, you did not want to tell about me and Hyesung to your precious Mr. Mun, because you are in love with him…” Dongwan was commanding the other one to shut up. “Or maybe, you love to see us deceiving him. Maybe it makes you happy.”  He was super angry now. "Are you Eric's best friend just because he has money? You know...it's much easier to get friends when--" Minwoo's eyes widened when the frantic lips landed onto his.

His heart stopped beating when he closed his eyes and two palms glued onto his jaw and the kiss accidentally got deeper and intense.
