“He’s been avoiding me for the past few days--- no, scratch that. He’s been avoiding me for the past few weeks. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that.” Chanyeol groans and hits his own head lightly with his book.

 

“Dude, you’re overreacting.” Chen, one of Chanyeol’s close friends, with a dinosaur-featured face, sighs beside Chanyeol.

 

They were both in front of their lockers.

 

“It’s been 1 day since the incident happened.” Chen continues.

 

“BUT IT FEELS LIKE AN ETERNIITTYYYYY.” Chanyeol whines.

 

“What’s an eternity?”  Chen purposely stupidly asks.

 

Chanyeol gives Chen a deadly glare, causing his friend to laugh out loud.

 

“I’m sorry but I don’t understand your sarcasm sometimes, T-rex guy.” Chanyeol shakes his head and buries his own head inside his locker.

 

“Because my level of sarcasm is based on how stupid you are. And what in the world are you doing?” Chen teasingly responses, walking away with a ‘tsk.’

 

 

 

 

Chanyeol sighs again.

With his head stuck inside his locker.

He doesn’t want to face school without talking to Baekhyun; to explain to Baekhyun that it was ‘just’ a joke just so Baekhyun would start talking to him again.

 

Just tell him that it was your way of revenge?

 

I don’t think that would work.

 

I am your brain, after all. Is anything here even right?

 

You’re not helping.

 

Hehehe. Sorry.

 

“Chanyeol? What are you doing?”

 

Chanyeol quickly moves away from the locker in a swift.

“BAEKHYUN! Oh. Uh. I ju- I think- No, I--- was looking for my pen, I think it was somewhere deep in my locker. Heh.” Chanyeol tries to insert his forced laughter in his stutters.

 

“Oh, I see.” Baekhyun chuckles.

 

Why is he acting like nothing happened?

 

Because NOTHING happened. Duh.

 

He could have thought that I was confessing!

 

Which you were, anyways.

 

Whatever.

 

Chanyeol rolls his eyes.

 

“Did I say something wrong, Chanyeol?”

 

“What?”

 
“You were rolling your eyes at me, I guess.”

 

“NO! I just got something caught in my eye.” Chanyeol pokes his own eye, pretending to get something that could be dirt.

 

“What is it?” Baekhyun tilts his head.

 

You.

 

You caught my eye.

 

“Just some dirt I got this morning.” Chanyeol smiles.

 

Baekhyun was about to tiptoe and check closely what was in Chanyeol’s eye when the school bell rang.

 

“Oh, I have to go before I get tardy.” Baekhyun grins and leaves without another word.

“Sehun.”

 

No response.

 

“Sehun.” Luhan calls as he follows Sehun’s trail in the gym.

 

“What?”

 

“Why are you acting like that?” Luhan sighs and crosses his arms.

 

Sehun turns around to look at Luhan and releases a bitter laugh.

 

“I’m sorry, hyung. How was I supposed to treat you?”

 

Luhan’s chest clutches at what Sehun just called him.

 

So I’m just his ‘hyung’ now?

 

“Hyung…” Luhan repeats to himself. The word stings.

 

Sehun raises his left eyebrow. “Yeah, why not?”

 

“Am I really just a hyung to you?”

 

Sehun shakes his head in disbelief. “Luhan, you can’t just make me love you, and then leave, and then come back in my life, expecting me to feel the same after what you’ve done. I have feelings too.”

 

Everything Sehun said was all the things he wanted to say.

He wanted to cry.

But he didn’t want to look weak in front of Luhan.

 

“Sehun…”

 

“I’m not asking you to call my name.”

 

“I’m sorry.”

 

“I’m not asking for your sorry. I want an explanation, oh wait, I don’t want it, I NEED an explanation. Don’t you think so too?”

 

“Sehun, it was never my intention to hurt you!” Luhan lifts both hands in the air.

 

“It was never my intention to make you love me! And it was never my intention to leave you!” Luhan continues.

 

“But you did. Didn’t you?“

 

“I—“ Luhan was speechless.

 

“Like I thought.” Sehun sighs. “Did you even love me, Luhan?”

 

“I still do.”

 

“I don’t believe you.”

 

“Believe what you want to believe, Sehun.”

 

“What am I to you then, Luhan?”

 

“My friend. My lover. My soulmate. My one and only. My endgame. Call it anything you want, you’re my everything.” Luhan attempts to hold Sehun’s hand but Sehun was quick to take a step back.

 

“What am I to you then, Sehun?”

 

“You used to be my friend…

 

Fck, stop it Sehun.

 

“You used to be my lover…

 

I still fcking love you, you idiot.

 

“You were my soulmate…

 

Am I not your soulmate anymore? 3

 

“I thought you were my one and only…

 

You’re the only one for me, Sehun. Do you love someone else now?

 

“But now, it’s the end. You’re a nobody.”

 

And that was it. Luhan just lost it. His tears couldn’t stop flowing.

 

“It’s my turn, Luhan. I’m sorry. Goodbye, Hyung.”

 

“So just like that? You’re giving up on me just like that?”

 

“I asked you that 2 years ago. You still remember what you told me?” Sehun wasn’t angry, but he was in pain. But he was never the type to show what he really feels.

 

All you could see is a stern face from Sehun as he continues, “You told me that ‘Yes, I can’t hold on any longer, but you will always be a somebody to me.’ What the fck does that even mean? A somebody to you?”

 

“Sehun…” Luhan was choking on his own saliva and words.

 

“Then let me tell you, I’m done.”

 

Sehun dismisses everything, leaving Luhan in tears.
