DONGHAE’S POV: (ABOUT THE DAY HE MET AKI AS HE THOUGHT SHE WAS RIN)

When my family buried in the Mokpo Cemetery, Young-Do, a friend of my dad said that he prepared a house for me at Seoul and gave the money that my dad kept since he married my mom. That time, I always said to myself that they left me here and I should join which my mind was vague

Uncle Young-Do cannot go with me in Seoul and he gave me directions as I went in Seoul by myself. I cried when I went to the house as I said to myself, “Starting this day, you will eat, clean, study and doing other things alone”, “Stay brave and humble Lee Donghae”. Also I thanked my uncle who gave me the cookbook before I leave in Mokpo

It was my first summer in Seoul without my family. Tuesday afternoon, I went alone in the playground near from my house. The word ‘envy’ I immediately felt when I saw a kid who was happy playing with his older brother as I missed my older brother, Donghwa and of course, I miss my parents too. While I kept staring at that kid, a girl who pulled me and want me to play her

“Why me?” I asked her as I pointed myself, “Because you are a good guy that’s why I want to play with you!” the girl grinned at me and we played hide and seek with other children. Afterwards, the girl told me I must visit in playground every day in afternoon and I said ‘yes’ to her

Every single day in summer, I happily play with her and one day, I met her older brother that he was same age as mine and we easily are friends as we were same interest playing soccer. In addition, every time when I went back at home, I always forgot to ask her if what her name was. Seeing her smile makes me happy and I am glad that my sorrow has gone and it is all because of her. It was the reason why I like her

I promise to myself that I will always make her happy

As one day, I will confess my love for her

There was time when I dropped by in the playground, I saw the girl again with sad face and I felt sad seeing her like that. When she saw me, she ran towards me, gripped her hands on my shoulders and cried in front me. “Am I bad person?” she asked me as she cried again. I hold her both cheeks and said, “No you’re not”, I wiped the tears on her eyes used my thumb and then I embraced her and I ruffled her hair and randomly said, “I will always stay at your side”.

After that day, I did not saw her in the playground anymore and I felt lonely again but I believe that someday I am going to meet her again until I happily meet her again in a school

Nevertheless, it was not the girl I met when the girl named Rin confessed while ago, that she was not the girl I met in the playground

But I meet her again in an unexpected way and her named was Aki

END OF DONGHAE’S POV

Aki stretched out her arms and felt happily that the 4-hours meeting about the case has done. “Detective Aki, we will report you if we find Minwoo’s hideout” said Detective Park as he reminded her again

“I will also help you guys in finding him and stay confident guys that we will bring Minwoo in jail and declare him guilty in what he did” in what she said, the people in the meeting just applause her and she suddenly felt awkward as she saw their expression on her

Aki walk towards to Detective Park, and whispered him as she asked him, “Am I overreacted?”

Detective Park smiled nervously as he must be careful what he’s going to say at the young detective, “Slight, Detective Aki”

Meanwhile, Donghae was done prepare dinner for two of them and worried at the same time if why Aki did not comeback from her job. He took his phone and he sighed in relief when he read Aki’s message that she was on the way at home and told him that she had a 4 hours meeting with the police force

When Aki went back from her job, she immediately smelled a food “Donghae! Did you prepare dinner for us?”

“Yeah!” he exclaimed and Aki went at the kitchen room, put down her briefcase in top of the refrigerator then help him to place the plates and other dinnerware in a dining table. While they were eating, a awkward atmosphere Aki felt and she asked Donghae as she want ruined the atmosphere, “Do you have say something to me?”

The boy slugged down the water and sighed in defeat, “I met and talk Rin in the playground a while ago” he said softly as he slightly anxious on what Aki’s reaction will be. “That was unexpected event, I bet she told you about her relationship with Minwoo” said Aki to Donghae. “Rin was selfish and she lied to me,” he muttered and Aki hold the boy’s hand, she comforted him “I don’t want to ask more questions about your conversation with her and my only advice was stay bright and I will always stay at your side like what I am doing now to Andy”

“Always stay at my side?” Donghae asked Aki

Aki smiled purely and told, “That’s what the guy said to me as I met him in a playground. That time, I was deeply sorrow in the death of my mother and I will stay in Switzerland with my father after my mother buried” she took a sip on the glass of water and added, “I miss him and I wonder where he is now”

He is here in front of you, Aki Donghae thought on her, “What if he’s here in front of you...what are you going to say to him?”

“That I still remember him as I love him,” Aki told Donghae, confidentially and the boy suddenly coughed, “You really going to said that to him?” and the girl quickly nodded at him, “Because I promise to myself that when I meet him again, I will confess my feelings to him. Even it was short time being with him during childhood days”

Donghae jaw dropped, as he still cannot believe what Aki said and he thought that time flies and he hates the feeling of surprise. The girl snapped him out and knew that the boy shocked in what she said, “Don’t be cute in front of me” she said and burst out of laughter, “Too bad I did not took my phone from my briefcase as I will take a picture that face a while ago. And so that I will show that face to Hyukkie Oppa”, the boy was remain silent and Aki decide to change to topic “Can you bring the diary here and let’s discuss it” What a cute weirdo guy she thought as her eyes was secretly smiling
