"Do Kyungsoo!"

Kyungsoo's vision focused and realized that Jongdae's face was right in front of his. With hardly any visible reaction on his face, he blocked his friend's

face with his right hand and pushed him away with all his strength.

"So you were still alive," Jongdae said while arranging his fringe. "I thought you died while standing up." It was Jongdae's usual teasing remarks and 

Kyungsoo's usual act of violence, but both of them can feel the air of gloominess. 

"What the hell is up with the gloominess?" Baekhyun popped out behind Jongdae. 

"What do you mean?" Jongdae asked, but it sounded too fake to pass as playing innocent.

Baekhyun raised his eyebrow at Jongdae, then looked at Kyungsoo. The smallest of the three watched student per student as they each enter the 

school gate. He was perfectly aware that Baekhyun is staring at him right now, trying to figure out what's wrong, but he made no effort to explain.

"First, Kyungsoo gets snatched for lunch everyday of the week. Next, Jongdae learned how to keep a secret. Now, this. I think I deserve an explanation." 

Baekhyun said. He was angry, both Jongdae and Kyungsoo can feel it. But his tone indicated that he's willing to wait for them to tell him. 

Kyungsoo looked down and said in a hushed voice, "Sorry Baek, I'll explain everything later, to you too Jongdae."

Baekhyun's expression softened then patted Kyungsoo's shoulder.

A tall figure emerged and came to view from the surge of students coming inside the gates. In surprise, Kyungsoo took a step back with a pained expression 

on his face.

Jongdae observed this change on his friend's face and followed his line of vision then saw the figure approach Baekhyun from behind.

"Morning Baek!" said the cave-like voice. Kyungsoo saw the not-so-familiar face of the boy he's facing. He's tall, probably around 6 feet,

 a bright smile on his small face, large ears that didn't ruin his good looks, rather, it kinda add to his charms all the more. But he's still 

incomparable to the beautiful face and warm smile Kyungsoo is used to see.

Jongdae shifted his attention from Kyungsoo to Baekhyun then to the tall boy behind him. "Looks like Kyungsoo isn't the only one who needs to explain 

a few things." Jongdae said, a triumphant look on his face when Baekhyun suddenly blushed from the remark while the tall boy just gave a confused look.

"Nice to meet you Chanyeol, I'm Kim Jongdae." he said, stretching out his right hand for a hand shake. Chanyeol took it, looking as confused as ever.

"I'll explain after Kyungsoo does." Baekhyun said, dragging Chanyeol with him.

Kyungsoo looked indifferent with everything that happened and Jongdae released a heavy sigh before speaking. "I'm guessing, but I think I'm spot on, 

Jongin didn't fetch you this morning, am I right?" Jongdae didn't wait for a response, when Kyungsoo bit his lower lip, it was more than enough. 

The bell rang and Jongdae went ahead, leaving Kyungsoo staring down on his feet. What Jongdae said was true. Jongin didn't came. He waited. Tried to 

believe that Jongin was just a tad bit late. But no Jongin came to their front gates. He even turned his phone on, but there was no such text fro
