*1 Month until birth*

Aaliah's POV:

Eddy and I drove to the police station to finalize the restraining order. 

"So any more questions before you go?" One officer asked.

"Yeah" I spoke up. "We wanted to know if we could know more about the history of our house" 

I told him the address and he left the room for a few minutes. 

When he came back, a woman was entering behind him. 

She came smiling towards us.

"Eddy, Aaliah, this is Ms. Key. She is our historical officiant in the department" The officer said.

Ms. Key extended her hand for us shake. 

"You can call me Emily" She said. I squeezed Eddy's hand.

My smile slowly faded. Nothing against her, I just despised that name.

We sat back down, and she began to speak.

"So I dug up a few articles and cases on your house and you'd be suprised that they're still allowing people to live there" She began. "It was reported on Feburary 21, 2009, a 7 year old boy was murdered in your home. He was found in the basement, bruised and gagged with a sock in his mouth, his ankles were bound with his own shoestrings and his hands were tied behind his back. The parents came home to their missing child who they couldnt find while trying to pick him up for school. The parents were thrown in jail because the neighbors claimed to notice suspicious behavior in the home" She finished.

"Oh my god" Eddy whispered.

"Thats so sad" I added.

"Another case" She spoke again. 

"A liitle more recent, April 20, 2014......"

She went on about more cases on the gruesome murders of these children. Each ended the same. The parents went to prison because the neighbors reported strange behavior. 

Its funny because the neighbors were all the same people. Mrs. Singleton and Mrs. Teal. I thought that was a little suspicious.

Im glad we have a restraining order against them.

"There is a myth about that neighborhood though" Emily spoke again. "Theres an old legend that back in the 1800's, a woman of witchcraft had lived in the very house that you live in and she and her husband wanted children so bad. So one day she casted a spell in their house that could get her pregnant, and she did indeed get pregnant. Once the baby was born, it was very smart for its age. People said that the child creeped them out. The child had orangish/blonde hair and dark eyes.

They called it the "Demon Child".

They say that the child killed over 12 people, and that all the children who grow up in that house are evil" She took a breath.

"But they say its just an old legend" She took out her business card and handed it to us. "If you have anymore questions, feel free to call me"

With that, she left the room.

We left the police station and sat down in our car.

I was the first to break the silence.

"Were gonna have to sell the house"

So I finished this chapter at 1pm, but then my wifi messed up and I couldnt post it till now (8pm) .....ugh lol
