Thursday Nights“Jae, please just listen,” Soo Yun begged as Jaejoong gulped down his coffee and left his breakfast cold. She was in the midst of still trying to convince him that divorce was their only option left, but Jaejoong refused to listen to any of it.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” he said as he quickly slipped on his shoes.
“But you were the one who said that we had to talk everything through!”
“Yes, but when I said that I mean—“ he closed his eyes and in a deep breath. “You know what, I don’t have time for this. I have a meeting soon.” True, he had a meeting, but it wasn’t until an hour later. Jaejoong, though, needed all that time to calm down and prepare his mindset instead of having it full of this heartache he now had since last night.

It was going to be a long day again and even though he didn’t want to go home and deal with the upcoming talk, he knew he had to. To fight for them, he had to, even if he was fighting her to save the both of them.
Soo Yun took a seat on the couch and just stared at the door, as if time would do as she said and it’ll be night already and he’ll be home. She knew she was being selfish for asking for a divorce. She was in a stage where she would do anything to get the burden off of her. She didn’t want to feel guilty anymore, she didn’t want to feel sad and depressed, she wanted to end all bad feelings. It was either divorce and start anew, or leave the world, something which she promised herself and Dr. Han she wouldn’t do or even think of. Soo Yun sighed as the clock ticked by and slumped into the couch. Why couldn’t Jaejoong just let her go?

Jaejoong stalled as long as he could in the office. He finished all his paperwork and even did some that weren’t even important. But when the clock showed that it was ten at night, he knew it was time to go home.
