Stay With Me

Eyes Don't Tell Me Lies

“You look okay, Fany. Trust me.”

Tiffany bit her lip as she looked at Sunny’s not-so-assuring face through the mirror. Well, probably her manager was already tired being asked the same question over and over like that. Also Tiffany was still too… overly anxious of something she shouldn’t have been concerned of at all, her appearance.

She turned around from the mirror with a sigh and sat down on the couch’s arm, “Yeah, yeah, sorry, I won’t ask again. But oh my God, this is ridiculous. It’s like I’ve never been on a date before.”

That was half true, though. This would be her first ever real date with Jessica. So probably being this nervous was normal?

“Come on, relax a bit.” Sunny walked to her and massaged her shoulder lightly, “She had witnessed you right after you woke up, anyway. And she still hasn’t ditched you.”

A chuckle, “True that.”

“So, what’s the plan for the New Year’s eve?”

“Nothing special, actually. Just… maybe a dinner, and then a countdown, the usual.”

Even though it was nothing special, Tiffany still couldn’t hide her happy grin. When was the last time she spent the countdown to New Year with someone she loved? It was probably way back then before people even knew her name. And being anxious like this somehow made her feel as if she was back to young and in love all over again.

“I envy you a lot, you know. She seems like the decent one after so many dates you’ve been through these past years.” Sunny faked an upset sigh before she turned serious, “By the way, is her daughter also coming?”

“You mean Jamie? Yeah, of course she’s coming with us.”

“Hmm,” Sunny smirked, “if you think about it, if someday you marry Jessica Jung, you’re instantly going to be a mother.”

Tiffany was slightly taken aback at that, “What?”

“Yeah, yeah.”

“Kyu, come on.” She frowned, “It hasn’t even been a year since we started dating, and this, I’m about to go for our first ever date so why are you already talking about marriage? It never even crossed my mind yet.”

Sunny shrugged, “Just wondering. Not the marriage part, but the mother part.”

“Well… I’ve never thought about that too, like, that’s too far-fetched. Come on.”

“Alright, alright. If that’s what you say.”

They spent another half an hour talking and pacing around, Tiffany exactly, gathering things she should bring to her because she was going to stay for the night, in wherever Jessica was going to bring her to. She couldn’t get rid of her anxiety until Sunny jokingly told her to just bring a suitcase or something.

And then finally, the bell rang.

Tiffany took a really deep breath before she walked to the door and opened it.

A smiling Jessica Jung appeared. She had just gone back straight from her office, it seemed.

“Hi.”

Tiffany held her grin and her fingers fidgeted on the doorknob, “Hi.”

“So… are you ready? We’re leaving now.”

“Oh, yeah, sure. I’ll just…” She slightly pointed at her belongings inside.

Jessica peeked at it and nodded. She then did a familiar hand gesture, and one man appeared from nowhere, came inside the apartment and took Tiffany’s belongings with him. Tiffany reminded herself that she had to get used to it since Jessica was a chaebol and all.

“Now?” Tiffany asked and Jessica nodded again. She then turned around to Sunny, “Hey Kyu, I’m going, alright?”

“Yeah, sure, off you go. Be careful!”

Both Tiffany and Jessica bid goodbyes to Sunny before they headed down. Tiffany felt so awkward inside the elevator with only the two of them. She didn’t know why, even her palms were a little too cold than usual. Jessica looked at her weirdly with one eyebrow raised. Tiffany was never like this before.

“I know I’m being absurd. So don’t mind me. I just need some time.”

Jessica lightly chuckled, “Alright. I won’t say anything.”

They went by Jessica’s car, with the businesswoman driving. Meanwhile Tiffany’s belongings were probably somewhere else. They headed to Jessica’s villa, a little bit far from the centre of Seoul. Tiffany herself didn’t own a villa. Since her family all lived in the States, and she herself wasn’t even a Korean citizen, so she didn’t really know how a private villa looked like.

The sun went down on their way there. Tiffany smiled looking at the window. The further they went, the more beautiful scenery was seen. And even though they were silent almost all the time, it was really comfortable.

Just when she thought another Jung-related thing wouldn’t surprise her, she was wrong.

Jessica’s villa wasn’t just a villa. It was literally a castle.

-

The dining room was unbelievably spacious, and Tiffany had lost counted of how many maids and men there were. There was only one table for two in the centre. A classical music was playing just like in those expensive restaurants. All of the maids and men left after the servings were served.

Tiffany took a deep breath, for the nth time already.

“This…” She started, and Jessica waited, “you know, I’ve never dated a chaebol before so these things… are new and I’m still in the process of getting used to it.”

Jessica smiled, it seemed like she did it all the time, “I know you probably think that it’s too much but, don’t. It’s common, for us. We do things like this often.”

“Yeah, I’ve seen it in dramas but I just didn’t think it’d be like… this in real life.”

Jessica didn’t answer. She just… smiled.

Tiffany averted her gaze to anywhere but Jessica and mumbled, “Why do you keep smiling?”

“Because you’re cute when you’re shy.”

“Oh my God, stop that.” She cringed, “I don’t know if you’re naturally cheesy or not but just in case you are, I’m telling you this, that I hate that. So don’t be.”

A laugh, “Alright, I’m not going to be. Now let’s eat.”

Maybe because she was hungry, Tiffany thought. Because after she had eaten for some delightful bites, she felt her silly nervousness slowly faded away. She felt more relaxed and talked a bit more with Jessica.

The latter said it was a family tradition to celebrate important occasions in the villa. And unlike in the dramas, the Jung family actually only consisted of Jessica, Krystal, and Jamie. No more, no less. There was no ‘big family’. It was just them. And they didn’t want to be lonely, so they would invite almost all their maids and men to celebrate together. They didn’t just have to work there, but they also had to have fun.

Tiffany wanted to ask further about the family, but the servings distracted her. And it kept coming, until Tiffany gave up and raised her hand at some maids who were about to put a big plate of sweets as the dessert. It made them, and Jessica laughed.

And it wasn’t as romantic as Tiffany had scared of. She wasn’t a fan of those overly romantic dinners, with candles, flowers, and all. So she was much assured.

“I almost burped loudly.” Tiffany randomly blurted and it amused Jessica again.

“It’s okay to burp loudly. It’s human.”

“No, it’s not. I never burped like that in front of people. Like, what would they think of me?” She then asked to a maid who was picking up the dirty plates, “What would you think of me?”

The maids laughed, again.

Jessica shrugged, “I think it’s normal of you burping, since I already heard you snoring.”

Tiffany’s grin erased instantly, “What-- I don’t snore!”

“Oh she does.” Jessica said, to the maid than to Tiffany, “Pretty loud at night, kind of unbelievable.”

“Jessica!” She kicked Jessica’s foot under the table.

And again, all of them there except Tiffany laughed.

This was indeed something new for Tiffany, but it was also something warm.

-

Krystal and Jamie joined not long after. They played random games, Jessica said it was to make Jamie tired and sleepy since there was no way she would let her little daughter stay up too late to the countdown. So in the end, when the countdown was close, they all gathered on a huge balcony. After Jessica had tucked Jamie to bed, of course.

“How was your last New Year eve like?” Krystal asked as she helped Tiffany putting on a birthday hat on her head.

It was kind of funny that they made the celebration look like a birthday party instead.

“Nothing special. Just… lounging at home. With my managers, staffs, and all.”

“Were you single?”

“Uh…” Tiffany instantly reminded of a certain someone but she quickly brushed it off, “I guess so? Oh hey, you’ve hit your first year mark of moving here, right? Remember when we met in a café that time?”

“Ah, right! I’m surprised you still remember.”

When the countdown was close, Tiffany and Jessica stood side by side, and waited. Krystal was right behind the trellis with the maids. Some men were down there, preparing the fireworks. Tiffany peeked at Jessica, and had to smile seeing how excited the latter looked, with a small red birthday hat on her head. So she sneaked her hand and held Jessica’s tightly.

“Alright, guys! Guys! It’s close!” They heard Krystal said, “Let’s count!”

“Five!”

“Four!”

“Three!”

“Two!”

“One! Happy New Year!”

The fireworks flew and blew in the sky, dancing in sync with the blaring trumpets. Tiffany unconsciously laughed and cheered with the others. They all hugged each other. It was the time when Tiffany didn’t feel sort of awkward at all because almost all the maids didn’t treat her differently as a singer. But she was just Tiffany, just her.

She then felt someone back hugged her and whispered a ‘happy New Year’ to her ear. She couldn’t help her smile as she turned around and faced Jessica. She mouthed the same, before cupping Jessica’s cheeks and pulled her closer. They would’ve kissed if only a certain blonde didn’t suddenly barge in between them.

“Yo! You lovebirds, I know you’re in love, but please remember that I’m still here? Just wait a little later until you two get a room or something!” She said as she brought her arms to both her sister and Tiffany’s shoulders.

The singer laughed and Jessica ruffled the blonde hair.

“Happy New Year, gorgeous!” She pecked Tiffany’s cheek, “And happy New Year to you too, jerk!” She did the same to her sister, which earned a soft slap.

“Ew, you’re disgusting. Actually find someone else to kiss this year.” Jessica joked, “You’re a total flirt but still single. That’s quite an irony.”

“Oh, you just wait and see. I’ll date someone as hot as me.”

Tiffany knew a certain name popped out inside her head when Krystal mentioned about dating, but whatever, this wasn’t a time for that. So she just shrugged, and laughed along with the sisters.

-

“Make yourself comfortable.”

Tiffany felt like she was starting to get used to Jessica’s world as she didn’t find herself unnecessarily gaping at the room the latter prepared for them both. It was huge, of course. Tiffany realized that the room also had the almost same design and decoration like Jessica’s bedroom in her house.

After she had looked around for some time, she turned to Jessica, and the latter was taking off her birthday hat so Tiffany did the same.

“Did you purposely decorate the room like this?” She asked, “It feels like I’m in your house.”

“Yeah, I like it this way. Is it comfortable?”

“It is. Very.”

When Tiffany looked around again, she realized there was something different. The room had a stack full of CDs near the CD player. There wasn’t any in Jessica’s house. Tiffany walked to it and carefully looked at the CDs. To think about it, she still didn’t know what kind of music Jessica listened to.

“Classical music?” Tiffany asked as she read names as Richard Wagner, Franz Schubert, and Johan Sebastian Bach, “You listen to classical music?”

Jessica nodded, “Yeah. I don’t really enjoy mainstream music in general. Well, except for your songs.”

It made Tiffany cackle, “Oh, please. I know the only album of mine you own is the one I gave you for free.”

“I’ll buy the rest next time.”

Tiffany chuckled as she picked one random CD and then played it. She smiled as the music started. It had been really while since she listened to this kind of music. She kind of missed it. It was soothing.

“Franz Schubert’s Ave Maria.” She mumbled, “Piano version. I remember playing this almost every day when I was still learning piano.”

Jessica only nodded.

“Hey, let’s dance.” Tiffany suddenly had an idea and held both Jessica’s wrists.

“What?”

“Yeah, let’s dance. The song fits.” She said as she set the song to replaying mode, “Come on. Dance with me.”

Tiffany pulled Jessica to the empty space of the room and put the latter’s hand on her waist, while grasping tight the other one.

“Stephanie, I can’t dance.”

“No, no, it’s okay. Just follow me.”

As the music played, they started dancing. Jessica was serious, though, she really couldn’t dance. Tiffany suddenly felt like she was an amazing dancer. She hummed along to the song while guiding Jessica back and forth, eventually couldn’t keep her laugh as she saw how confused and flustered Jessica was.

“You really should start moving more, grandma. You’re so stiff.”

“I told you I can’t dance.”

But they continued. The song kept playing, they kept dancing. Tiffany ended resting her head on Jessica’s shoulder, still humming, her eyes closed. It was pretty romantic and all, but of course Jessica had to ruin it by stumbling and ended up pushing them both down to fall on the floor, with Tiffany’s back first.

Luckily Tiffany’s head didn’t hit the floor because Jessica was fast in catching her.

“Oh my God,” Tiffany couldn’t help but laugh out loud, “you’re a worse dancer than me.”

Jessica pushed herself slightly up with a scoff, “That’s it. No more dancing.”

“But why… I love dancing.”

“I don’t. So, no.”

Tiffany giggled and pulled Jessica closer, “Alright, if that’s what you want.”

Jessica leaned down and slowly kissed her. It was warm. Tiffany didn’t know, but she still felt that kind of fluttering every time their lips met. Jessica was just different. The way she fit her lips perfectly into Tiffany’s, also the way she used her tongue, it was almost too overwhelming. And Tiffany suddenly felt hot all over.

Damn.

There was something new. Something… she never had with Jessica before. Tiffany knew Jessica realized it too as she kissed her even harder, occasionally pulling back but Tiffany could only let out short gasps. She gaped for air when Jessica stopped kissing her lips, but she, still in a slow but torturing pace, planted kisses on Tiffany’s cheeks, chin, nose, eyes, forehead, before stopped completely and stared at the singer.

Jessica’s face was burning red and Tiffany was sure hers was nothing different. They were breathing heavily, chest craving for more air they lacked. Tiffany knew what she was feeling at the moment. And she didn’t want to think. She just wanted to feel.

So she kissed Jessica’s lips again, not roughly, just as slow, patiently. She pushed them both to stand on their feet, before she broke the kiss and pulled Jessica to the bed. Both of them didn’t say any word as Tiffany slowly pushed Jessica to sit down on the bed, and she soon was on her lap and they continued kissing.

It was getting warmer. Too warm even. Tiffany felt herself pressing down harder when she heard Jessica’s soft sigh into her lips. She was losing her mind when her hand sloppily started to Jessica’s shirt.

“W-wait,”

Two buttons were ed when Jessica stopped her. Tiffany couldn’t help but sigh and asked breathlessly,

“Why?”

Jessica stared up at her, she was also breathless, but she didn’t say anything. Tiffany frowned. That can’t be…

“You… do you have some sort of… preferences--”

“No, no, not that.” Jessica quickly shook her head, “I’m not like that.”

“Then, what-- or is this your first time… with a girl…”

“No, no, not.”

Tiffany realized she had expected a ‘yes’ because she had to admit that her heart kind of dropped hearing that.

“I just…” Jessica hesitated, “I haven’t done this for a really long time. I’m a bit…”

“It’s okay,” Tiffany whispered as she kissed Jessica’s forehead, and both her eyelashes, “it’s okay. Let’s just… feel.”

Jessica nodded and they kissed again. Harder, but not too rough. Tiffany felt Jessica’s fingers danced on her back, before grasping the tip of her shirt, soon pulled it over Tiffany’s head and threw it carelessly. Jessica’s shirt followed after. They stripped each other bare before their eyes, no hesitation left.

It had been a while for Tiffany too, she realized. She felt desperate, but there was no unnecessary rush. They went slow, but it didn’t frustrate her. Jessica was gentle. She pushed Tiffany down onto the bed and couldn’t stop to whisper of how beautiful the singer was. Tiffany wanted to do the same, because Jessica was also so beautiful that night, but at the same time she was also so damn mesmerizing that Tiffany was lost at words.

She wasn’t just bare, bare. The look in Jessica’s eyes was something she couldn’t describe, when she looked straight to Tiffany’s, she was reminded of why she fell for Jessica at the first place. And then Jessica would smile, complimenting her over and over again, in a hushed whisper that sounded so genuine, too genuine to doubt.

Tiffany then gasped loudly but was muffled with Jessica’s kiss. Her fingers grasped Jessica’s hair a little bit too hard but she was in too much pleasure to actually care.

Say my name, Jessica whispered. And Tiffany did.

There was only her, only Jessica in her mind. The woman on top of her, who was giving her this pleasure, there was nobody else. Tiffany’s breaths were rushed, both of them moved faster, they wouldn’t, couldn’t stop.

And when finally Tiffany reached the peak, she screamed Jessica’s name as if it was the most sacred thing on earth.

Jessica held her, until she calmed, and then hovered above her, kissed her here and there to calm her down.

“You’re so beautiful.” She said again, and again, “So beautiful.”

It just wasn’t enough. Tiffany felt it wasn’t enough. She then pushed Jessica so she was now, above her. She still couldn’t stop.

My turn, she whispered huskily, lightly bit Jessica’s earlobe as she did.

Time went by unnoticed by them. The music didn’t stop, it played along with them. Tiffany remembered, she would always remember. This might be not the first time, but Tiffany felt like it really was. How she felt, how it went, everything was different. So she couldn’t blame herself if she really, really didn’t want to stop.

It was just them, just Jessica, and nothing else mattered.

-

“Hmm? Wh… what?”

Tiffany’s eyes opened slightly hearing that voice. She heard Jessica’s drowsy voice and felt one less arm holding her because apparently, she was picking up a call.

“Oh it’s ten? Really?” Jessica muttered, her eyes weren’t fully opened and it made Tiffany smile, “I didn’t know, the curtains are closed.”

It was already ten in the morning, apparently. Tiffany slightly frowned. They woke up pretty late. Well, they also slept so late, so no wonder.

“Yea, I was sleeping until you called me. Hmm? You’re going home now? How about-- hey, how about Jamie? What-- let me talk to her.” Jessica went silent for a moment before she talked to her daughter, “Hey, good morning to you too. Yeah… I haven’t really woken up yet now. Mommy’s a little tired.”

Tiffany chuckled.

“Okay, I’ll see you later, alright? Be careful on the way home. I love you.”

The call ended and Jessica put the phone down on the night stand before she snuggled to Tiffany again.

“Was it Krystal?”

“Yeah,” Jessica mumbled, eyes closed, “I got to get ready to her teasing later.”

Tiffany smiled, “It’s going to be bad.”

Jessica nodded her head, “It surely is.”

“Anyway, we woke up so late.” Tiffany played with Jessica’s hair, curling then uncurling it between her fingers, “Are you not used to it? Waking up late?”

“Not really. I don’t sleep much, but I’m so tired this morning.” Jessica opened her eyes and lifted her head to Tiffany with a smug smile, “Last night was…”

Tiffany arched her eyebrows, “Last night was what?”

“You tell me.”

The singer frowned and shook her head.

“What, why?” Jessica scooted closer, “You don’t remember? Last night you tired me out.”

“Oh my God, Jessica.” Tiffany pushed her, she felt her face burning at Jessica’s laugh, “It’s not just you who’s tired, okay? I am too.”

Jessica stopped laughing and brushed Tiffany’s messy bangs off of her face. They were so messed-up and disheveled, it was actually quite amusing. But then again, last night was indeed special, both of them knew that.

“I love you.”

It was a sudden confession, and Tiffany needed a couple of second to comprehend that. So it wasn’t a dream. The soft, breathless whisper of the three words wasn’t a dream. It was a blur to her, but as she remembered, Jessica confessed to her, and she did the same, without thinking twice, without hesitation.

So she did it again this time, to assure Jessica that it also, wasn’t a dream.

“I love you too.”

Jessica smiled, “Stay with me?”

Tiffany nodded. Just like last night, she pulled Jessica closer and wrapped her arms around her, sighing in content at how right it felt.

“I’m here.” She said, “I’m here.”

They spent some more time like that. Just lazing around on the bed, talking about random topic, joking here and there, everything felt so simple.

It would be very kind of the world, if they would let them stay like this for a long time.
