Jinki adjusts his spectacles and peers over at the five slides before him. He reads and re-reads but the story doesn’t flow well enough for his liking. So he uses an eraser to obliterate a few lines and then he makes his adjustments. His eyes water a little from straining them so much during the day but he continues erasing, writing and rewriting to ensure that the five slides are completed before he leaves for home.

There’s a knock at the door.

“Hey.” The person calls and Jinki looks up to see no one other than him of course. He enters carrying a folder. “I did a few more sketches of the same character in case you were having some difficulties working with those.” He gestures to the five slides before Jinki. Jinki thanks him and takes the folder.

“Kibum!” Jinki calls before the other man can slip out the door. “Why in such a hurry? Let’s sit and chat...like old times.”

Kibum turns and scoffs a bit which offends Jinki.

“Sit and chat?” Kibum repeats. “Jinki aren’t you asking for a tad too much?” The tension begins and  it slowly starts to bubble between them.

“I don’t see why we cannot reconnect.” And Jinki’s voice is strained.

“So...” He approaches Jinki again. “Ex-lovers reconnecting...but one’s currently married...spells trouble...doesn’t it?”

Jinki knows this. Hell, he wasn’t born yesterday but Kibum is back and he wants to reignite the fire that has been extinguished between them.

Kibum leans forward and uses his index finger to tilt Jinki’s chin upwards. They are so close. Their faces are close but their lips are even closer. Jinki stares at Kibum’s and remembers kissing those lips in his dorm close to midnight every weekend of every month.

“Go home.” He suggests and backs away. “Your husband may be worrying.” With that Key lips out and leaves.

“You’re back!” Taemin jumps into Jinki’s arms, places his arms around the other’s neck , kisses and his husband’s face like an excited puppy. Jinki stumbles a bit and laughs out while holding onto the door post for support. With great effort he manages to stumble into the house with Taemin still attached to him.

“Baby.” He says. “My back.”

“Oh sorry.” Taemin jumps off. “It’s just that i missed you a lot today.” Taemin grins.

When Taemin grins, Jinki sees a smiling Key flash before his eyes and it disappears as soon as it appears. He silently reprimands himself and pushes the images away.

“..see ‘Faith’ right, honey?” Taemin looks up at Jinki expectantly.

“Sure.” He responds even though he does not know what he is agreeing to. It must have been good then since Taemin giggles and claps excitedly.

“Hungry?”

Jinki shakes his head as they make their way further into the house. Upon reaching the bedroom Taemin pounces on him and begins kissing and undoing his tie. Jinki doesn’t object.

Minutes later after intense love making, Taemin and Jinki lie awake in each other’s arms. The younger is displaying a contented smile on his face as he rests his head on the other’s bare chest.

“We should do this more often.” He whispers and Jinki chuckles all the while combing his fingers through Taemin’s hair.

“It’s not that we can’t. It’s because i have to put more hours into work in order to support us and the household. I have to work overtime.”

“I know. I know.” Taemin sighs and elevates his upper body to look Jinki in the eyes. “I can drop my yoga class to lessen the burden on you.” He suggests. Jinki considers it for a while but dismisses the suggestion. He wants Taemin to live comfortably and doesn’t wish for him to give up an activity he loves doing since he had already given up his job.

“Plus, work for me isn’t bad.” He adds smiling to himself as he remembers Kibum hugging him.

“I love you.”

“I love you, Jinki.”
