When I arrived from our school, I saw my mom laying down in her bed, weakly. I went towards her and hand signalled her of

she's okay. She nodded and gave me a smile. She looks really pale. I told her that I'll be the one to cook for our dinner. She just 

smiled at me. I went outside the room. I cooked for our food. After I cooked the food, I brought it to my umma's room. She sat up and

I helped her. I placed the food on her bed. I helped her in taking the food inside . I talked to her about what happened today

in our school. After we ate, I washed the dishes and went back to her room. She was lying on her bed. I laid down beside her. She looked

at me with a smile. I hugged her tightly and closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes, my mom was still asleep. I waked her up. I shaked

her but she's not reacting. 

"Umma!" I said as I was shaking her

"Umma! Umma! Umma... Umma..." tears started to fall from my eyes. Umma's dead. I can't accept it! I kept on crying. I don't know what

to do. I got my phone and dialled Gongchan's number. I told him to come to our house. I went outside of our house. I went to my

mom's close friend. I told her what happened. She was surprised and cried. She ran going to our house. I followed her while crying. 

She went inside the room, she was crying while calling my umma's name. I kept on crying. Until, Gongchan arrived. I saw him and 

ran towards him. I hugged him tightly. I kept on sobbing. He rubbed my back. Umma's close friend called for an ambulance. 

"Your umma died?" he asked while rubbing my back

I nodded while sobbing

He kept on rubbing my back. I was still hugging him.

"Gongchan, I don't know what to do" I kept on crying

He let go of me and wiped my tears away "Just think that your umma really loves you and she's happy for you"

I heard the siren of the ambulance. I looked outside and told my umma's close friend that the ambulance is already here. The nurse

got the folding bed from the ambulance and laid my mom there. We rode on the ambulance. When we arrived at the hospital. The

doctor told us that it's dead on arrival. I kept on crying as well as my umma's close friend. My umma's close friend hugged me. I cried

on her shoulders. While Gongchan sat beside me while rubbing my back. My life's so different without my umma. I lost the only umma

in my life. The umma who did not leave me.

---- AFTER HOW MANY DAYS ----

I stayed in the house of my umma's close friend. We sold our house and our appliances for my tuition fee for my school.

One day, when I went home, I saw a man talking with my umma's close friend. I walked towards them. My umma's close friend stood up

and said "Xenia Kwon, this is Jung Woo Bin, you're appa" 

My eyes went huge. It's my first time to meet my appa. I never saw him when I was young. 

He gave me a smile "Xenia-ah" 

He hugged me. I let go of him. He gave me a puzzled look. 

"I have many assignments to do" I said as I was going upstairs

"Xenia-ah, let's talk for a while" my umma's close friend said

I looked at her and decided to go back. I sat on the couch. They started to sat on the couch. 

"Xenia-ah, you're dad is going to get you next week. You'll be living in his house next week" my umma's close friend said

"I'm okay here. You can protect me, right?" I was referring to my umma's close friend

"But I don't have enough money for your foods and others. Your dad will be the one to pay for your tuition fee and he

can take care of you"

"Xenia-ah, I know that I didn't help your mom in taking care of you. Mianhe for all the things I made to your umma and to you. I hope 

you're going to forgive me. I promise to be responsilble with you and take care of you like what your umms did to you" my appa said

I looked at him "I'm going to think first if I'm going with you or not"

"If you're not going with me.." I cut my appa's sentence off

"I'll be living all by myself" I said and stood up

"I have something else to do" I said before I walked out

I went upstairs and went to my room. I wrote about what happened today in my diary. On the next day, while I was going to school,

I saw Gongchan standing in front of the school's gate. I walked towards him.

"Are not going to go inside the school?"

He shooked his head, answering a no from my qeustion. 

"Why?" I asked curiously

"My parent's going to transfer me to another school"

"Mwo?!" my eyes went huge

He nodded "They're going to transfer me to Seoul and they decided that we'll be living there"

"Gongchan Shik" I mummbled

He hugged me tightly "I will really miss you, Xenia Kwon"

He let go of me "Even though we are only given a few time to know each other. You will never be replaced here in my heart.

You'll always have a space here" 

Tears started to fall from my eyes "Why is everybody leaving me? First, my appa left me when I was young. My umma left me and now,

you? You're going to leave me"

"I'm not going to leave you. I'll visit you when I have time. And I promise that"

He wiped my tears away "I will really miss you"

"Gongchan Shik, I will really miss you too" I hugged him and let go of him

"Here" he said as he gave me a box

"What's this?" I asked as I looked at the box

I opened the box and saw a cute teddy bear

"I give that to you so that you won't forget me. If you feel like crying, just hug that bear and you can feel my presence" he smiled at me

"Gomawo" I smiled at him 

While I was looking down, he kissed my forehead. After he kissed my forehead, I looked at him with a puzzled look. He scratched his

head and smiled at me. I slapped his shoulders with the bear. 

"Take care of that bear" he said

"Of course because this is you. As what you said a while ago" I smiled at him

"Go now! You'll be late for your class" he said as he was pushing me to get me inside the gate

I went inside the gate "Bye, Gongchan Shik!" 

"Bye, Xenia Kwon!" he waved at me

I waved back at him. I feel happy today and at the same time sad. I was surprised when he kissed my forehead. Maybe he did that

because we're close with each other. There would be no Gongchan who will be by my side when I need him. He's the one who helped

me in everything. He's my only friend in this campus. Gongchan, my only true friend in my whole entire life, I'm going to miss you.
