---- Few months later ----

Jessica and I went home with our paper bags. We went shopping for our prom tomorrow. We greeted my stepmom as we

entered the house.

“Have you chosen already for your outfit tomorrow?” my stepmom asked us

“Ne” Jessica replied directly

I nodded as a response

“Umma, we’ll be going to our room to take a rest” Jessica said

“Arasso” my stepmom said as she signaled us to go upstairs

We went upstairs and went inside our rooms. I placed the paper bag on the top of the couch and got my towel to take a bath.

I went outside of my room and went to the comfort room. After taking a bath, I went back to my room. When I entered my room,

I saw Jessica reading my diary! I ran towards her and got my diary.

“Yah! Why are you reading this one? This is confidentiality” I said

“Is it? Mianhe” she pouted

“Yah! I’m so pissed because of you! Don’t you know that no one can read this! Even my umma didn’t dare to read this one!

Please, get out!” I rolled my eyes to her

She stood up “Mianhe. I didn’t know all about that”

“Did I tell you to get out? Get out!” I exclaimed

She looked down and went outside the room

I threw the diary on the top of the couch and sat on my bed. Aish! What if she read my deepest secrets? Especially how I feel to

the one I love. What if she read all those things? Aish! I’m really pissed off right now. Ottoke?

I woke up because of my alarm clock. I stretched out my hands and pressed the button to stop my alarm clock. I opened my

eyes and saw the ceiling. I sat up slowly and looked at the clock. It’s already 12 noon! I set the alarm clock in 12 noon! Aish!

I need to be ready for our prom! I took a shower and changed clothes. I went downstairs to eat my breakfast slash lunch.

I sat on the chair and ate all the food that is served on the table. After I ate all the food, I burped. Jessica walked towards me.

“We should be ready by 4 pm so that we’ll go to out prom in 5 pm, arachi?” she said

I looked at her and stood up. I went upstairs

“Xenia-ah!” she exclaimed

I continued to walk going upstairs. I feel like I want to avoid her. When I opened the door of my room,

my phone was ringing. Someone’s calling me. I answered the call.

“Yoboseo?”

“Xenia-sshi”

“Oh, Lee Donghae”

“Umm… can I pick up in going to our prom?”

“Ahh… umm… that one? Umm… I think my appa’s going to be the one who’ll send us in going to our

prom”

“Ahhh… Arasso. Too bad”

“Haha.”

“Arasso, I’ll see you tonight. Bye”

“Bye”

Then, we hang up

I decided to take a nap. After a few hours, someone was knocking on my door. Like a mad tiger. I sat up while scratching my head.

I dragged myself to get up. I opened the door and saw my stepmom.

“Xenia-sshi! It’s already 4 pm! You need to be ready now” my stepmom said

“Chincha?” my eyes went huge

“Ne! Change now!”

I nodded and closed the door. I looked for my dress and wear on it. I found my sandals and I had a hard time wearing on it.

I stood up and got my pouch bag. I placed my handkerchief and my phone inside my pouch bag. I went downstairs. I saw

someone fixing Jessica’s hair and doing her make-up. I froze looking at her. My stepmom saw me and she signaled me to come.

A girl was waiting for me to come down. She will be the one to fix my hair and will be doing my make-up. She instructed me to sat

down on the chair. I nodded and sat on the chair. She started to fix my hair first. After a few minutes, I saw my face on the mirror and

I think nothing change. It’s still the same. I looked at Jessica who was seating beside me. And she’s really gorgeous.

Appa clapped his hands

“Okay! Let’s go now! It’s almost 5:20”

I stood up “I’ll be going now” I said to my stepmom

She touched my cheek “You’re so pretty”

I smiled shyly “Bye!”

She hugged me and let go of me “Take Care”

I nodded and I went outside the house to get inside the car. Jessica was still inside the house, talking to my stepmom. My appa

and I waited for Jessica. Jessica went inside the car and I was surprised knowing that she didn’t occupy the front seat instead

she was seating beside me in the back seat. I looked at her and she smiled at me. I gave her an awkward smirk. When we arrived

to our prom, everybody we’re dancing on the dance floor. I saw Sulli seating on the chair. I walked towards her. She stood up as she

saw me walking towards her. 

"Why are you wearing that cardigan?" I asked her

"It's cold" she replied as she rubbed her hands

I nodded "I really like your hair"

"My umma was the one who made this" she gave me a smile

"Chincha? It's so nice" I said as I touched her hair

“Our prom will begin in 10 seconds. 10, 9, 8..”

The people around me were joining the countdown especially Sulli. I joined as well

“7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1” then a smoke went out from the stage

The host of our prom was standing in the stage

“Welcome to your prom, students! This is just once in a lifetime. So, enjoy your prom. And later on, we’ll be crowning our

Mister and Miss Prom 2011”

Then, the students shouted. The prom started. I saw Gongchan walking towards me. I gave him a smile and he gave me a

smile too. A party song was played on and all the students went to the dance floor.

“Let’s dance!” Sulli said

“Mwo?” I can’t hear what Sulli was saying because of the loud sound

“I said, let’s dance!” she exclaimed

“Later!” I replied

Jessica, Tiffany and Hyoyeon went towards me

“Jessica, you’re cousin is pretty tonight” Tiffany said

“It’s just for this night and tomorrow, she’s pretty anymore” Hyoyeon said

Tiffany and Hyoyeon laughed while Jessica was watching them

“Shikoru! Can you just stop teasing my cousin?” Jessica said

“I thought you love ” Tiffany eyes went huge

I can feel my tears are going out from my eyes

“De! You told us that you really don’t like her and you love until the day will come that she’ll leave your house.

You even told us that you’re going to be good to her so that your umma and appa won’t be mad at you” Hyoyeon said

I froze for a while when Hyoyeon said those words. I ran fast and I arrived at the garden outside the building. I cried and cried.

I thought she accepted me as one her family and until now, she haven’t? She’s just good to me because she doesn’t want

my stepmom and appa to be mad at her? I felt a hand was rubbing behind me.

“Leave me alone” I said while sobbing

The hand continued to rub my back. I turned around and saw Donghae

“Lee Donghae” I mumbled

He sighed

I hugged him tightly and cried in his shoulders. He continued to rub my back. After a few minutes while  hugging him, I let go of him.

“I know what happened a while ago” he said

“Please, I don’t want to talk that one”
