We arrived in our house and I saw a big white blanket.

“What’s that?” I asked my stepmom and my appa

Jessica went towards the big white blanket and got it. When she got the big white blanket, I saw a big piano. My eyes went huge.

I went towards the piano and touched the sides of it. I touched the keys on it. I looked at my stepmom and my umma with teary eyes.

“We bought it for you because Jessica said you need a piano here in our house” my stepmom said

I looked at Jessica and she smiled at me

“Jessica was the one who said that we should enroll you to a piano lesson because she heard you playing the piano inside the

music room in your school” my appa said

“Chincha?” my eyes went huge

“Ne, actually it’s me and Donghae who heard you plating it” Jessica said

I ran towards Jessica and hugged her tightly “Gomawo” I mumbled

I let go of her and went to hug my appa and my stepmom and I let go of them

“Let’s eat! Dinner’s ready” my stepmom said

We went to the dining room and ate our dinner. After we ate our dinner, we went outside the house.

“I never knew you can play the piano well” Sulli said

I laughed shyly

“You were really good a while ago” Donghae said

“Gomawo” I said

“I think I need to go home now. My umma’s looking for me. Kindly thank your umma and appa for me” Sulli said

I nodded “Take care”

“Bye!” we waved at her

“Donghae, can you help me to get something inside?” Jessica asked

“Is that something really heavy?” Donghae asked

“I think so. Please, can you help me?” Jessica tugged Donghae’s arm

“Donghae-ah, help her” I gave him a smirk

“Arasso” Donghae said

“Gomawo” Jessica smiled at him and they went inside

And now, I’m left with Gongchan. I kept on looking at the stars. There was an awkward moment. He broke the silent

“Congratulations again”  

I looked at him and smiled “Gomawo”

He looked at me “You already knew how to play the piano before they enrolled you to a piano lesson?”

I nodded

“Why didn’t you tell them?”

“I don’t want to”

He nodded “I was like that before. My appa doesn’t know that I’m still playing the guitar. I don’t want to tell him because I know

he’ll be mad at me. I really miss playing the guitar. I hope I can play it again. I want to play the guitar forever”

I looked at him with a pity look

He sighed “I want to play the guitar in front of my appa and to the one I love before I die”

“Why are you saying like that?” I asked him

“Playing the guitar is like showing to them that I really love them and I’m really thankful to have them in my life”

I bit my lower lip

“Let’s just pass to that” he smiled at me

I nodded. Donghae and Jessica arrived. The bought some drinks for us. They gave us drinks. We drank and Gongchan said

“I think I need to go home now. Gomawo for the dinner tonight”

I nodded

“Bye!” we waved at him 

After Gongchan left, Donghae also left. Jessica and I went inside the house. Appa and umma were seating on the couch,

watching Korean drama

“I can’t take this anymore” Jessica muttered

My eyes went huge when she said those words

“Umma, I have something to tell you” Jessica said

“What is it?”

“Appa, I’m going to tell umma about our little secret”

“Jessica Jung!” appa exclaimed as he stood up

“What secret?” my stepmom exclaimed as she stood up

“Umma, appa wants me to be married with his business partner’s son, Gongchan Shik” Jessica said

I looked at her with huge eyes “Mwo?”

Jessica looked at me and nodded

“Woo Bin! Why are you doing this to our daughter?” my stepmom asked my appa

“So that our business will be more powerful and we can gain more customers! I’m thinking about how to be successful in

life, Hae Ra!” my appa exclaimed

“You’re just thinking about yourself, Woo Bin! You’re not thinking about the feelings of others!”

“I do!”

“Why does Jessica love Gongchan?” my stepmom asked appa

“I know they don’t love each other but they will learn to love each other someday when they will be married”

“Why, do you love me?” my stepmom asked appa

My appa didn’t answer

“See? We’re in an arranged marriage and until now you still don’t love me and you’re saying they’re going to learn to love each 

other someday? No, I don’t want Jessica’s life to end up like us. I sacrificed myself just to enter this arranged marriage, Woo Bin”

“Why, are you the only who sacrificed?” my appa asked

“I know! We sacrificed our lives but I don’t want our daughters to be involve in an arrange marriage! I don’t want to ruin their lives.

Like what our parents did!”

My stepmom looked at Jessica “Jessica, you’re not going to be married with Gongchan if you really don’t like him. The two of you,

go upstairs!”

Jessica and I nodded and we went upstairs. I accompanied Jessica in her room. We were crying because of what we saw a

while ago. I rubbed her back while crying

“I’m afraid that they’ll break up” Jessica said while sobbing

“Don’t say like that! They won’t do it. Trust me”

Jessica looked at me and hugged me. Someone opened door. Jessica let go of me and we saw my stepmom and my appa

standing in front of us. We stood up

“Are you two breaking up?” Jessica asked

My stepmom wept her tears away “Aniya”

Jessica and I smiled at them

“I know I was wrong. I was just thinking about my business and not thinking about the feelings of others”

“Apaa” Jessica mumbled and she ran towards appa and hugged him

“Gwenchana” appa mumbled

My stepmom signaled me to hug her. I ran towards her and hugged her. I let go of her.

“Promise, I’ll not do the arranged marriage again” appa said

“I have something to tell you appa” Jessica said

“What is it?”

“Gongchan doesn’t like me but he likes Xenia” Jessica said as she looked at me

“Chincha?” my appa’s eyes went huge

“Shhh… I know what you’re thinking. Don’t do the arranged marriage again” my stepmom gave him a smirk.

We burst out laughing
