When Sulli and I were eating our lunch, someone poked me behind. I looked behind and saw Gongchan. He smiled at me

"Can I join with you?" he asked

"Ne" I smiled at him

He sat beside me

"Sulli, this is Gongchan" I introduced Gongchan to Sulli

"Annyeong" Sulli smiled at him

Gongchan smiled at Sulli and bowed down

"So, he is the one you're talking about?" Sulli asked

Gongchan looked at me with a puzzled look. My eyes went huge when Sulli said those words

"Ahh.. ne. He's my friend" 

"Gongchan, Xenia told me that you're a nice friend to her" Sulli looked at Gongchan

I rolled my eyes to Sulli. I signaled her to stop from talking but she wouldn't listen to me

"Ahh.. ne" Gongchan replied as he ate his food

"Aish" I muttered

"I never thought that she has a friend here. I thought she doesn't have friend until now" Gongchan said

"We met at her first day of school. Just like her, I don't have also friends here. So, I decided to hang out with her since we're

the same" Sulli smiled at him

Gongchan nodded

"Do you have friends here?" Sulli asked Gongchan

"It's my first day of school" Gongchan replied directly

"You're a transferee too?" Sulli's eyes went huge

Gongchan nodded

After we ate our lunch, we went inside our class. Gongchan and I were not classmates. He's classmate with Donghae and Jessica.

But he doesn't know that Jessica is my stepsister. Classes ended and started. I will be doing my decision I that made yesterday

night. I'll not go home tonight instead I'll go back to Incheon. I'll stay away from Jessica's family because that's what she wants.

After our class, I went outside the classroom immediately. Gongchan called my name. I turned around

"Are you already going home?" he asked

"Ne" 

"Can we go home together?" 

"My appa's going to fetch me" I smiled at him

He nodded 

"Bye" I said and went away. I ran as fast as I can so that I can escape from this school. I ran away from our school. I arrived at the mall,

I was catching for some air. I went inside the mall. I looked at my watch and it's already 6 pm! Is appa looking for me right now? Do I

need to go back home or stay away from them? Aish! I should stay away from them so that I can't see Jessica's face anymore. I 

looked at my wallet and I only have 1000 won inside my wallet. And the fare ticket in going to Incheon is 1000 won. But I'm so hungry!

I won't eat my dinner. I went to the bus terminal. I walked going to the bus terminal. I looked at my watch and it's already 8 pm. Bus

terminal is far away from the mall. I kept on looking at my surroundings. I passed by at a club. I decided to sat on the bench

because my feet were very tired. While I was looking at my wallet. There were two drunk men were standing in front of me. 

"Yah! She's so pretty, right?" the man said

I placed my wallet inside my bag directly

"Yah! She's hiding her wallet from us" the other man said

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" the man said

"Oh, yes!" the other man said

The man got my bag. I pulled my bag away from him. But the other man pushed me away. The man got my wallet

"Why are you hiding this away from us, huh?" the man said

The man threw my bag to me. The man looked at my wallet and got my money. He threw my wallet to me

"Yah! I'll use that money!" I exclaimed

"For, what? For drinking alcoholic drinks?" the other man said as he gave me a smirk

"Aish! You're drunk! Just give me back my wallet!" 

"We won't give it to you unless, if you come with us" the man said and laughed

"I'll never come with you!" 

"Then, you won't get your money back" the other man said and laughed

I got my shoes and threw it to them. The man got hit on his head. He touched his head because of pain. The other man's eyes 

went huge when I threw my shoes to them

"That's what you get if you won't give my money back!"

"Aish! This girl!" the man said and punched me my stomach

The other man kicked me. I can't fight back because they're too strong. I ended up laying down in the street. The other man keeps on

kicking me. Until someone, punched them and the two drunk men surrundered and the man got my money from them. The man 

shaked me 

"Are you okay?"

"Le..Lee Dongahe?" 

"Ne. Are you okay?" he kept on asking

"Ne" I said as I sat up 

"Are you sure you are okay?" 

"Ne" I said as I stood up

"Why are you here? Your appa and umma kept looking for you" 

My eyes went huge and looked at him "Please, don't tell them that you saw me"

"Waeyo?" his eyes went huge

"Please, just don't tell them. Gomawo for saving me" 

He gave me a warm hug. He let go of me 

"Have you eaten your dinner?" 

I shooked my head, answering a no from his question

"Come, let's eat. I'll treat you" he said as he got my bag from the ground

I nodded

I was eating like there's no tomorrow. I eat hungrily and burped after eating

"Why didn't you go home?" he looked at me

"Aish! Don't ask" I said as I drank the water

"Xenia, you might forget that we're best friends"

I gulped when he said those words

"It's because Jessica told me yesterday night that since the day I came to her family. Appa and her umma kept on fighting and

she thinks I'm the one who's making the chaos" I bowed down

"Why did she say those words to you?"

A tear fell from my eye "Because I went home late yesterday. Appa got mad at me. And my stepmom was there to protect me. Even

though he's my appa, he doesn't understand my feelings unlike my stepmom, even though we're not related, she was there to

protect me"

"You know, Jessica's closer to her appa than to her umma. Sometimes, Jessica and her umma had an misunderstanding and his

appa was there to comfort her"

"Is she jealous why her umma kept on protecting me?" I asked him

He shrugged his shoulders "Maybe. Jessica grew up with jealousy in her heart because when she was a child, she already knew

that she has a stepsister. And she thinks that's why her appa goes home late is because her appa was with her stepsister. But

honestly, his appa's doing overnight work"

"I haven't seen my appa since I was young. I only saw him after my umma left. He wasn't even there when I grew up. Lucky for her,

appa was there while she was growing up" 

Donghae stood from his chair and sat beside me. He pulled me and gave me a warm hug

"I think you should go home. If you're going to stay away from your appa, you don't know where to stay plus you don't have enough

money. So you should go home now. Just don't mind whatever Jessica says"

I let go of him and nodded

"I'll be taking you home"  

If Donghae wasn't there to save me from those two drunk men, I'll end up in the hospital right now. Gomawo, Donghae for saving

me tonight. You're my life saver.
