Whole new start
ANGEL EYES16 YEARS LATER
JENNY
“Jenny!!...” I heard and yawned but still didn’t open my eyes.
Then someone took away my beddings.
“Omma!!!” I whined.
“Jenny get up! It’s your first day at high school since we moved to South Korea.” My mom said.
“I don’t want to go!” I whined again.
“Get dressed! You have 20 minutes.” She said and threw my new school uniform at me.
It’s gonna be a long, long day….
Everything would be fine if we moved here earlier but instead I had to change schools in the middle of semester.
30 minutes later
I stopped in front of the school’s gate and sighed.
You can do it. “Fighting!” I cheered on myself loudly. Few girls giggled while walking past me. Great now they think I’m a weirdo.
Firstly I headed to the teachers room and Mr. Yoo showed me the way to my class.
Everyone were already in.
“Kids, this is Jenny Park, she’s from the USA and she’ll be going to our school since today. Get along with her. “ he ended and looked at me. I bowed politely at my classmates and greeted them.
“Hello, I’m Jenny..” I hope it didn’t sound to awkward.
“OK, you can sit at the back.” The teacher said.
I felt everyone’s eyes on me. I could feel an ice cube stopped in my throat.
There were two empty sits, so I picked the one closer to the window.
Suddenly a boy barged inside the classroom.
“I’m sorry for being late.” The boy said.
“Why am I not surprised?” The teacher asked him “Sit down…” he simply added and the boy couldn’t stop bowing to Mr. Yoo.
From where I was sitting I could only see the top of his head moving. I saw him heading to where I was sitting.
Omo… don’t stare! He’ll think you’re a weirdo!
I started drawing circles in my notebook.
“Ehmmm….” I heard “That’s my seat.” He said.
Everyone near us turned back and stared at me. Omo… I quickly stood up and gathered all my stuff.
“I’m sorry I didn’t know…” I said and looked him in the eyes. Our eyes met and it felt as if the time stopped. He stared at me with his eyes wide open. Can someone’s eyes twinkle so much?
I looked down and grabbed my bag.
“Wait…” he said and touched my shoulders. Then he pushed me back on my seat.
“It’s ok I’ll sit here…” he said and took an empty seat right beside me.
I was spinning a pencil with my fingers trying to stay calm d
