“If you destroy the source of his power he’ll also be destroyed….” The witch said but didn’t say how am I supposed to do that. He’s the fire king and I’m not even sure how to use my power properly.

“His current position was claimed by blood and blood will bring the end to him. Think about it and you will find the way.”  The witch said to me.

When I yelled at her to tell me directly what should I do because there was no time to play charades, she only smirked and disappeared in the darkness of her tree.

Blood… I couldn’t stop thinking and repeating that word inside my head.

“Look …” I heard the Earth Mother and saw her pointing at the sky. Firstly I couldn’t see anything but when few clouds drifted away with the wind I saw the Sky Palace. So that's Luhan’s home??

Please be safe and don’t be mad at me for leaving you… a lonely tear slid down my cheek. I wiped it off in a hurry.

“How are we going to get in there?” I asked.

“Did you forgot about you powers?” she asked “You should fly there and I’ll stay here but my spirit will accompany you.” she added and my heart speeded up panicking.

“I’m going there alone?” I tried to calm down my breathing.

“Calm down Bom… “ she said and gently took my head in her hands. “Stay strong…. for the ones you love….. I was never able to do that. I did nothing when my beloved daughters needed me…. be strong for him Bom.”

For Luhan…. For our love and years that we’ll spend together from now on…

I touched our tattoo and focused on his image in my head just how he told me to do when I miss him. This was the second time I did that and I couldn’t feel his presence anywhere….

I felt my heart aching so much I lost my breath and had to rub my chest.

“What is it?” I heard.

“Luhan…. Something bad happened… I can feel it.” I said trying to hold back tears. Why didn’t I check on him earlier?

The next thing I saw and heard was a huge explosion at the left wing of the palace. I gasped astonished and heard a dramatic roar. The same I heard when I entered Luhan’s nightmares. Remembering that it felt like it was years ago.

“Th…that’s Lu…” I stuttered still in shock.

“There’s no time Bom! Go…”  I heard and then grabbed my hands. Her body started glowing seconds later my body to. My nails extended and sharpened, red hair grew longer, my body was stronger and more powerful than ever.

“For now I gave you all my strength… “ she said and started disappearing.

“What?! Wait?!” I said and made a sudden movement trying to catch her. Flashes of red light escaped from my hands and crushed the rocks around hundred meters away from me into pieces. I was astonished by what happened and flinched when I heard my grandmother’s voice in my head.

“Go…” she simply encouraged.

I looked at the palace and remembered the pain in Luhan’s roar. Another tear escaped my eyelid.

…. but this time it’s the last one.

LUHAN

I’m the one who killed him…. How did this happen?? The voices in my head told me he’s an enemy but when I heard Lay’s last words saying “I love you Luhan…”  my heart almost crushed into pieces. The fire that appeared suddenly and other faces I saw somewhere before were surrounding me. I was the first one to attack. I can still feel the taste of his blood….

I roared desperately and transformed back into my human form. This time I couldn’t change back completely because I stayed as a dragon longer than ever before. My hair remained longer and white scales were covering most parts of my body.

I took Lay’s body in my arms. His empty stare was piercing my soul.

“Why??” I screamed and then saw a black haired girl on her knees few steps away from us. She was grabbing her hair and crying loudly. Everything around me slowed down. Dark creatures came out of the shadow and I could see the fire king right behind them. 

It’s all because of him. I told myself but when my eyes met him everyone disappeared. I was surrounded by the darkness. I looked down where I was holding Lay but there was only fresh blood on my hands.

THE FIRE KING

I rubbed my ring and the boy changed into his dragon form again. Those pathetic water demons tried to stop him with few attacks but it incensed him even more. Seeing them dying one by one brought me pure satisfaction.

He’ll remain as my slave forever… I smirked and spotted my oldest son. Our eyes met and I saw him spiting blood on the floor.

I can’t stop my father but I’ll stop his marionette.

I threw my jacket on the floor and let my inner fire consume my body. I changed into a dragon and faced Luhan right when he was about to attack Minzy. Our bodies clashed. I stopped him for few seconds but then I saw the fire king coming closer to unconscious Minzy.

When he pulled out a dagger I screamed and floored Luhan. At the same time blood flashed from my sister’s throat. Our father thrown her away. I couldn’t breathe seeing  the puddle of blood she was laying in.

Being distracted with the devilish smirk on the fire king’s face I didn’t saw the punch coming. Luhan pierced his claws right through me…
