"Thank you to all of you that agreed to delay the examination for me." Moonji bowed ninety degrees in front of her class. "We agreed because we need more time to study. Not because of you, Moonji." A girl suddenly replied, causing everybody in her class to laugh.

She just nodded her head in understanding before going to her seat. “.” Moonji was surprised by the sudden curse thrown at her, but she just ignored it.

“!!!” Another person said to her. She moves to her seat at the back, getting ready for the exam. She wondered why people called her nasty thing when all she did for her two weeks were get treatment for her injured leg. After two hours of her first paper, she went to the toilet.

“Did you hear that Ra Moonj is present to sit the examination?” A girl's voice penetrated her ears. Moonji remained silent in her toilet quartet.

“How dare she come back to this school after she seduced Baekhyun and betrayed Kai.” Another voice came into the conversation.

“The whole school already knew that Beakhyun and Dasom broke up because of her. A lot of witnesses have seen the drama behind Kai and Dasom. With my own eyes, I have seen Baekhyun chasing her in front of our class hallway. Urgh, what a low-class .” The conversation grew quieter, then faded away. Moonji stepped out of the restroom, perturbed by what she had overheard, and headed back to her classroom for her second paper. Finally, she knew why people randomly called her s and . She knew this kind of rumour would spark if she talked to other boys, hence why she had been avoiding interacting with other boys.  

As she reached the doorway, she froze, finding Baekhyun standing there.

"Hey, how's your leg?" Baekhyun inquired, trailing behind her. 

"Go away, Baekhyun. My exam is about to start," Moonji retorted as she took her seat.

"Be careful. See you," Baekhyun called out before leaving. Her classmates shot her annoyed and hateful glances as they noticed his visit.

Kai waited in the car to pick her up after her exams. She walks slowly as she still can’t force herself too much. Moonji, moving slowly due to her injury, finally reached the car. "Kim Jongin!" she exclaimed with a smile, blinking her eyes. 

Kai nodded, acknowledging her greeting, and started driving. "Sorry, I'm running a little late. Mr. Yoo insisted on talking to me," Moonji explained as she settled into the car.

"You didn't have to explain," Kai replied flatly, his eyes on the road. He was not in the mood to talk as today, and he heard more unpleasant things about Moonji. With the thought of the girl just discharged from the hospital and still not in good shape, he didn't want to start an argument with her. 

Upon arriving home, they found Dasom in the living room, crying. "Dasom, what happened?" Kai rushed to her side and hugged her tightly. "Just tell us everything."

Dasom sobbed into Kai's shoulder, her words coming out in gasps. "He really wanted to end this relationship. I love him so much, Kai. What should I do? He made it official on his social media and announced we were over."

Moonji observed the scene silently, standing like a statue. Feeling awkward, she decided to fetch some drinks for both Kai and Dasom. "Baekhyun didn't answer my calls or respond to my texts about why he made that status update when we never even had a fight," Dasom continued, her tears flowing freely.

"Have some drinks," Moonji offered, placing a tray of beverages on the coffee table. She hoped it would help ease the tense atmosphere in the room.

However, Dasom's gaze abruptly shifted toward Moonji, her anger flaring like wildfire. Her voice quivered with emotion as she unleashed her pent-up hatred. "You! What are you doing at Kai's place? Answer me, you !" she yelled, her voice trembling with fury.

Moonji remained remarkably unfazed by Dasom's outburst, her demeanour steady. "I live here with Kai," she replied calmly, meeting Dasom's intense glare head-on.

"Really? But why did you keep seducing Baekhyun? You have Kai, so why would you want Baekhyun, too?" Dasom shouted, her voice filled with a mixture of anger and despair. She looked down at the floor, unable to maintain eye contact with Moonji.

Sensing the escalating tension and wanting to diffuse the situation, Kai stepped in. "Dasom, let me take you home, and we'll talk about it there," he offered, his voice soothing as he guided his distraught friend out of the house.

Left alone in the room, Moonji felt a whirlwind of emotions. Confused and hurt by the accusations thrown at her, she decided to retreat to her room to gather her thoughts. Kai and Dasom's conversation continued outside, with Dasom's sobbing pleas for Kai to break up, with Moonji echoing through the corridors.

"We'll look into it," Kai reassured her, attempting to calm his friend down. "But let's find evidence first. Don't jump to conclusions about Moonji."

Sobbing, Dasom struggled to speak through her tears. "Do you think I'm lying to you? Many other students saw them flirting," she said, her voice broken. "Kai, I know you love me more than you love her. Please make her go away. I want my Baekhyun back."

Kai nodded, torn between his loyalty to Dasom and growing uncertainty about the accusations against Moonji. As he tried to comfort Dasom, he couldn't help but wonder about the truth behind the rumours.

Kai decided to seek some solace from the ongoing turmoil by meeting up with his best friend, Kyungsoo, at their regular club. As they settled into their corner booth, the thumping music enveloping them, Kyungsoo couldn't help but sense Kai's unease.

"Is it true Baekhyun and Dasom have ended things?" Kyungsoo inquired, leaning in closer to be heard over the music.

Kai let out a heavy sigh before responding, his gaze scanning the dimly lit club. "Actually, I still don't know the whole story about it. But Dasom said that it was official, that Baekhyun ended it."

Kyungsoo, his curiosity piqued, pressed further, "What's the reason behind it? I always thought they were a sweet couple, and Dasom adored their relationship."

Kai's tone turned monotonous as he replied, "Dasom claims it was Moonji."

Kyungsoo's reaction was unexpected. He let out a boisterous laugh, taking a sip of his drink. "Really? Ra Moonji, the monster and the queen of all gold diggers. She has a thing for people with deep pockets, huh? Maybe she found out that Baekhyun was also a young millionaire."

Kai, however, couldn't bring himself to share in the laughter. He remained silent, his mind filled with thoughts and doubts. When he returned home later that evening, he found dinner waiting for him on the table as usual. Unable to shake off his troubled thoughts, Kai confronted Moonji about the accusations.

He barged into her room, his expression stern. "Ra Moonji? Is it true that you're the cause of their breakup?" he demanded, his gaze unwavering as he sat on her bed, waiting for her response.

Moonji, looking slightly taken aback by his sudden intrusion, shook her head vehemently. "No, of course not," she replied, her voice tinged with frustration. Her brows furrowed as she spoke, her eyes locked onto Kai's, reflecting a mixture of confusion and irritation. "I was at the hospital for treatment. How could I have caused them to break up? That's absolutely ridiculous."

Kai remained seated on the bed, his expression skeptical. He watched Moonji closely, his gaze probing for any signs of deception. "They claim you seduced him," he stated bluntly, his voice laced with suspicion, as he leaned back slightly, waiting for Moonji to sit beside him and offer her side of the story.

Moonji's lips curled with a touch of exasperation. She moved closer, her body language reflecting a sense of urgency to clear her name. "I came here to be your girlfriend, not to seduce any other man," she replied firmly, her eyes avoiding his for a moment before she met his gaze again.

Kai continued to observe her, his eyes unwavering. His doubts lingered, and he hesitated to fully trust her words. "I need time to believe your words," he admitted, his voice softer now as he tried to reconcile his emotions.

Moonji nodded in understanding, her desire for Kai's trust evident in her eyes, even though she struggled to meet his gaze. She didn't want to appear overly eager to win his confidence, yet her heart ached for his trust.

"Kai, can we solve this after the end of the exams?" Moonji asked softly, her eyes still avoiding his. She wanted to prioritize their studies and hoped that time would eventually mend the rift between her and Dasom.

"Okay," Kai agreed, finally relenting. With that, the matter was temporarily set aside. Life gradually returned to normal for them as they navigated their daily routines. They shared meals, watched TV together, studied side by side until late hours, and enjoyed each other's company before bedtime. The Baekhyun and Dasom issue seemed to have little impact on their daily lives.

Finally, the week of final examinations came to an end. Kai eagerly waited for Moonji in his car as they prepared to celebrate the end of exams and school together. Moonji approached him, excitement lighting up her eyes. "How was your last paper?"

Kai laughed heartily, his confidence evident. "Piece of cake." His laughter and cheerful demeanour seemed to indicate that they were ready to put their worries behind them, at least for the moment.
