Revelations (Part One)
Order of the WolfHansol rubbed his forehead in annoyance as he stood in line waiting to pass through the metal detector. After a month of anticipation, it was finally time for the school trip to Rome and he would have been excited... if it weren’t for Byungjoo’s incessant paranoia.
“What if the plane crashes? What if it randomly bursts into flames and we all die? What if a pterodactyl flies through a time warp and…”
“SHUT UP BYUNGJOO,” Hansol finally snapped. About thirty minutes later, everyone was on the plane. Hansol was sitting next to Xero and Sehyuk and Sangdo were in front of them.
“I can’t believe the school booked an entire plane!” Xero said. Hansol nodded in agreement.
Sangdo looked incredibly nervous.
“Sangdo… are you a nervous flier?” Hansol asked.
“Uh, yeah, just a little,” Sangdo admitted.
“But… you’re a dragon,”
“And that means I must be comfortable flying right!? No! That’s a stupid racial stereotype!”
“Sorry Sangdo,” Hansol replied with a giggle.
It seemed like an eternity before the flight finally ended, and to make matters worse, the in-flight movie was “Revenge of the Insane Mushrooms Part Three”… but at least they were finally in Rome.
“Alright students, we’ll check into the hotel and call it an early night, and then tomorrow we will experience… THE CITY OF ROME!” Shouted the Web Design teacher, Mr. Cho like a sports announcer. Xero rolled his eyes and sighed.
Once they were settled in to their rooms, Hansol felt the boredom start to set in. The ride to the hotel was pretty entertaining, with all the cool sights and such, but this hotel was hardly interesting. Hojoon and Byungjoo were playing a dance video game, and Xero was sitting on his bed, reading a comic book. Hansol crawled up to him and put his head on his shoulder.
“Xeroooo. I’m booooored,” he whined.
“I’m sorry Hansol, what do you wanna do?”
“I wish we could go see the city,”
“We’re going tomorrow, can’t you wait?”
“At this rate, I’ll be dead by then. Can’t we sneak out?”
“No one’s sneaking out… two wizards loose in Rome sounds like a great plot for a movie, but in real life it’s just dumb,” Hojoon interjected, still focusing on the video game.
“Well, grand wizard Hojoon has spoken… I guess we’re in for the night,” Xero replied, continuing his reading. Hansol sighed in defeat as he laid back on the bed.
A few hours passed and Hansol was shaken from his sleep by Xero.
“What’s up?” Hansol wondered.
“Get up, we’re out of here,” Xero whispered.
“But Hojoon said,”
“If I listened to everything Hojoon said… I’d be miserable, now let’s go!”
Minutes later, the two boys were out of the room and walking down the hallway.
“Hey guys? Where are you headed?” Jiwon asked, startling both of them.
“We’re going out to see the city, wanna come?” Hansol eagerly asked.
“Sounds awesome! But how are we gonna get out of the hotel? The teachers notified the hotel staff, and I’m sure they won’t let us leave,” Jiwon explained.
“Dude, we’re wizards,” Xero said. He squeezed his hands together and, after a flash of light, they were standing in the alley behind the hotel.
“Where should we go first?” Hansol asked.
“The Coliseum! I’ve always wanted to see it!” Jiwon suggested.
“Then the Coliseum it is,” Xero said.
