Third Person’s POV
Dara kept her gaze focused and away from the black-haired girl beside her. Chaerin narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips. “Eat!” she pushed the plate of pasta towards Dara for the sixth time.
Dara casually pushed the plate back, “Not hungry.” “You’re gonna die if you get any skinnier than this!” Chaerin exclaimed in exaggeration, “Eat!” She pushed the plate of pasta towards Dara again.
Dara sighed and cast her a look. She picked up the fork unwillingly and twirled it around in the pasta. Chaerin smiled. She ate a mouth and placed the fork down. “Wow, I’m full.” She sighed.
Chaerin growled, “Won’t you eat?” Dara noticed the change in her voice, and looked at her with slightly widened eyes. Chaerin was glaring at her, pain, anger, and disgust in her eyes.
Dara just stared at her, not knowing how to react. Why was she staring at her like that? Chaerin blinked, and her eyes softened as she looked down guiltily. “Sorry.” She muttered. She got up and smiled, “I’ll make you eat. How about a sandwich?”
“Chaerin, please-” Dara began with furrowed brows. “It’s okay. I’ll pay for you. A treat in honour of our friendship!” Chaerin beamed and walked away. Dara lowered her gaze. “Friendship?” she mumbled.
A shadow was cast across the table, and Dara looked up to see Donghae staring down at her blankly. She blinked. “Where’s my sister?” he asked coolly. Dara looked past him. “At the snacks stall.” She muttered.
Donghae looked back, and nodded as he sat down at the table. “Anything nice to recommend?” he asked as he pushed his headphones down and to around his neck. Dara cocked her head, “To eat?”
“Yeah.” Donghae nodded. Dara hesitated. She didn’t know much about the food in the school’s cafeteria. “You can try…” she furrowed her brows, “Everything?” Donghae cracked a smirk, “That’s very helpful.”
Dara clicked her tongue in irritation and rolled her eyes. Chaerin came running back. “Catch!” she beamed. Dara caught the cling-wrapped ham and cheese sandwich in her hands as Chaerin sat down.
“Oppa.” Chaerin said, sarcasm laced at the tip of her tongue, “I thought you said you weren’t hungry?” “I got thirsty.” Donghae shrugged coolly.
Chaerin clicked her tongue, “Thirsty .” “Yah!” Donghae’s eyes widened in fury as Dara lowered her head and hid the small smile on her lips. “Burnnnn.” Chaerin stuck her tongue out as she grabbed the plate of pasta.
“The pasta looks good.” Donghae his lips. Chaerin glared at him suspiciously, “Get your own.” “I’m lazy.” He said, “And I’m not hungry.” Chaerin rolled her eyes, “Look at you eyeing my pasta…and you say you’re not hungry?”
I already said I was thir-” Donghae paused as a playful smile crept onto Chaerin’s lips. “Aisht!” he groaned and shot up to his feet, “I’m going back to class.” “Bye, oppa~” Chaerin sang happily as she began eating her pasta.
Donghae rolled his eyes and walked off. Dara took a bite into her sandwich. “Thanks, Chaerin.” She whispered, “I’ll
