December 241:00 P.M.
I ate my late lunch and headed to a store with a ginormous sign, 'Christmas Sale 20% discount'. The faux scent of snow and pinecones welcomed me inside. Christmas trees, Christmas lights, Santa Claus dolls, toy reindeers, a banner with a 'Merry Christmas' sign, a rack of Christmas wrappers and ribbons making a single file of line. I went directly to buy a tree, not too high and not too short. Buying one of everything they sold lessened the green papers inside my billfold, but it will soon be worth it. A guy should do everything to impress his lady, am I right?
It's a good thing that I bought the perfect dress for the perfect occasion after filling up my hungry stomach. A white top sprinkled with gold and silver dust on the upper half and an above-the-knee red skirt to join the Christmas spirit. As I exited the shop, I noticed a couple that were supposed to be in London for a holiday vacation.
"Aunt Mary! Uncle John!" I called. They noticed me and gave me a shocked expression. I went to them and asked them why in the world were they here. The questions that followed soon got me stuck in a conversation with them.
