Hyoyeon has a good friend. A male good friend. His name is Kris Wu. As far as Hyoyeon remembered, she’d always get into troubles whenever she associated with this guy. Even their first encounter started from a trouble.

It was their first day for their first year in high school. And it was on the opening ceremony day. That day, Kris got into a fight with some other students from a different high school. The reason? The reason was because he flirted with a girl the day before. The girl turned out to be a girlfriend of a leader of gangsters group. So, the boyfriend brought his gangs to beat him up. That time, Hyoyeon was on the way to the school and just passing by the scene. Unfortunately, she got caught up in the situation because she was wearing the same school uniform as Kris. So, people thought she was a part of the fight. Despite her plead for her innocence, along with Kris, she got suspended from the school for one week.

The next time Hyoyeon associated with Kris, he was in the middle of breaking up with his girlfriend in a café that she was working part time at as a waitress. She did not know what they were fighting about. She just made a mistake of going to their table to take their order when Kris suddenly grabbed her wrist and said to the girlfriend, they were breaking up because he was in a relationship with her, Kim Hyoyeon. And, the next thing she knew, her left cheek was red from the slap of the girlfriend. Being a girl that refused to be humiliated, she slapped the girlfriend back and they got in a fight. Of course, she won.

Then, Kris lifted up her right hand like she’d just won a wrestling competition and announced that he recognized her as his best friend for her courage. He was just doing everything as he pleases, without her consent. That’s the story on how they became best friend. Although it was only on his part and she never ever acknowledged it. Later, she got fired from her part-time job. All of that was because of an idiot, psychotic guy named Kris.

Kris had always been Mr Popular in the school. His handsome face with red full lips, sharp nose, beautiful eyes, not to mention his athletic skill and his beautiful voice, he instantly became the idol of the school. Despite his popularity, Kris was not a playboy type that would date a lot of girls at one time. One of his principles, he would date just one girl at one time. Although Hyoyeon did admire him a little because of his principle, it could not be the reason for her to be happy to be his forced best friend. The thing was, he always got replacement as soon as he broke up with his girlfriend. Well, in one way or another, he would still be called a playboy.

There was one time when a girl who was a member of broadcasting club confessed her love to him. Hyoyeon got to know it later that she was trying to brag to her friends that she would be going out with Kris. So, she chose the broadcasting room to confess her love. She did not want to play this kind of friendship game with him anymore. She’d suffered enough. And, when she planned to say that on his face and gathered the courage, she got to know that his parents already died in an accident and he was living with his grandma. She really had no idea that the carefree boy had such terrible past. He must have suffered a lot. Sympathy overwhelmed her and she decided to continue to be his best friend. The real best friend. It was only later that she got to know that his grandma owned a big company and he was actually a very rich heir.
