Yoorin's mother had insisted on her staying home for another day just to be safe. She felt perfectly fine, but she couldn’t refuse, especially with all the fuss her mother was making.

She texted Jeongmin and Minwoo, telling them that she was going to be off for another day.

Jeongmin asked if she wanted him to stop by before going to school. She declined, knowing that he was probably late yesterday and she didn’t want to be the reason for him to be tardy again.

Minwoo said he would rush right over as soon as the bell rang for the end of school.

She dropped her phone onto her pillow when she sent her reply to Minwoo and dragged her legs downstairs for a glass of milk.

She plopped herself down on the sofa and and the TV. She was fully prepared for a day full of doing nothing and boredom. She never really loved school but she would choose school over staying home alone all day anyday. School was an environment where she was surrounded by people that actually liked her, and not to mention it was the place where her boyfriend was currently at… and also her ex, Lee Byunghun.

L.Joe, huh? she thought. You’re still Byunghun in my eyes.

Without her consent, her mind started to wonder about L.Joe and she started to reminiscence about the good ole days.

She remembered the late nights of staying up and building forts in her bedroom, reading comic books and huddling together watching horror movies. She remembered the time he confessed to her about his feelings. The way he couldn’t seem to meet her eyes, the way he was stuttering slightly and the shade of pink his cheeks were; she remembered it all very clearly. She remembered holding hands in the hallway in school. The first kiss they shared… like a silly little girl she thought it would last forever.

She had worked so hard on pushing the memories of him to the back of her mind, but seeing his face again made it all rushing back.

She still remembered the feeling she had when he broke the news to her about leaving. No wonder why she was feeling a sense of deja vu when Minwoo said his mother wanted to take him away.
