That next day she had planned to go and see Hana. Minwoo reluctantly left her, but only when she promised to see him after she was done ‘running an errand’.
She actually hadn’t seen or made contact with Hana for a while. And she had something important she really wanted to talk to Hana about.
For the past few months Yoorin had been in bliss, she was happy and she didn’t think that anything could change that. But she knew that she was in a bubble of happiness and the bigger it’d get the more chance that it was likely to pop soon. She had temporary forgotten about the plan with Hana, and realising that she knew that she had to drop the whole plan. She wasn’t looking forward of saying it to Hana, but she knew she had to do it.
It was Hana’s older brother who opened the door, which surprised her a little.
“Chanhee,” Yoorin said, gaping at him. “What are you doing here? I never see you here anymore ever since you moved out.”
"Hey," he smiled, opening the door wider for her. "Yeah it's been a while, I'm on my break so I decided to drop by. Anyway, just go on upstairs, Hana’s awake.”
Yoorin said her thanks before making her way to Hana’s room.
She was sat on her bed, playing with her phone. “I know why you’re here.” She said, and then she looked up, staring at Yoorin right in the eyes. “He doesn’t care about you, so stop wavering.” She said it flatly, and with absolute finality.
Yoorin realised that on this issue Hana was inflexible, and there was going to be no use in arguing - but that wouldn’t stop Yoorin.
For several heartbeats they just stared at each other.
“You’re wrong, Hana.” Yoorin said shakily.
Hana stared at Yoorin for a little longer before scoffing. “You’ve fallen for his trap. I knew this would happen.” She got up and grabbed Yoorin’s wrist, roughly making her sit on the edge of her bed while she stood in front of her - looking ready for a lecture.
