Hero.
The Played PlayboyAfter just sitting between the two love birds for a few minutes, people were already trying to steal Yoorin away. She was the center of attention, just like the heart of a rose, surrounded by petals.
Changjo rolled his head and stared at Minwoo with a raised brow, and then he smirked. He got up and whispered something to Yoorin's ear, and without waiting for a response, he grabbed her wrist and started pulling her away from the crowd. Because there were so many people, Minwoo lost sight of them almost immediately. He saw that look on Changjo's face before he approached Yoorin. He saw Yoorin's worried expression as he dragged her away. It didn't have to take a genuis what he was happening, especially with Changjo's brain being clouded by alcohol.
Yoorin was surprised and confused, sure, who wouldn't be at this situation? She wasn't scared yet though, which she should've been. Changjo's grip on her wrist was beginning to burn as he stumbled up the stairs, half dragging her along with him.
"Changjo, where are you taking me?" she yelled over the loud music, trying to break the grip he had on her. "I have to go back to Minwoo, he doesn't know anyone here and I need to look after him."
It was ironic how she could even worry about someone else when she was the one in trouble. Changjo didn't respond, he just tightened his grip and grunted, pulling her further away from everyone else. They reached the end of the hall shortly, unlocking the door, he walked in with Yoorin a step behind him. When they were inside, he clicked the door shut and turned around and stared at her with clouded eyes. He lifted his hand to his mouth and blew on it. Scrunching his face at the result he got that hit back at his face, he said, "Ugh, I hate alcohol." He said, almost to himself. He swayed himself over and sat down heavily on the bed.
"Yoorin," he whined. "Have you got any gum? Or mint? Or minty gum? I sure could use some..."
She sighed, digging into her bag. She knew she had bought a new pack just a few days ago. At the bottom of her bag, she did find a pack of gum. She threw it at him, "Changjo, I'm going back downstairs, okay? I need to make sure the new guy is doing okay." But a funny thing happened - or not so funny now that she thought about it - when she reached for the door knob to open the door, it wouldn't turn. No matter how many times she shook it or turn it this way and that way it still would not budge.
"Changjo, the door is locked," she took a step back and pointed at it.
He slowly sat up on the bed, chewing the gum Yoorin gave him happily. "That's because I locked it." He hiccuped, his face flushed pink.
"Please open it," she said, with a hint of desperation in her tone.
"Hey, do you want some gum too?" he asked, ignoring her question.
"That was my last one, Changjo." Yoorin said, stilling turning the knob desperately.
"Ah," he said, slowly getting up from the bed and stumbling his way towards her. "I know where you can get some." He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him. His breath was hot against her bare skin and it didn't smell all that appealing either.
"Changjo, stop it." Yoorin said in a low voice, trying to push him away. But it was no use, she was small and weak, she couldn't even budge him in the slightest.
"Dammit..." Minwoo cursed under his breath as he realised he had lost sight of them, Yoorin was in trouble and he knew it. He knew that Changjo had his eyes on Yoorin for a while now, and tonight, he was consumed with alcohol so it was a perfect time for him.
He jogged past the drunk people around him - shoving and pushing when needed - and punched doors after doors open as he ran past, yelling Yoorin's name and glancing inside as he did so.
If the house wasn't so damn big then this would be so much easier, he thought.
Then something flashed in his head: Changjo would want to go somewhere far from everybody else so no one would bother him. Right then, Minwoo abandoned the ground floor and ran up the stairs. There were only a few people on that floor, but the further he walked down the hall the less people there were.
I'm getting close, he thought. I just know it. He's here somewhere.
Minwoo continued slamming the doors open wi
