After Kyuhyun saw that the fire at the inner hall was taken care of, he returned to his chambers to keep Ryeowook company. He was expecting his fiancee to be messing up the room but to his surprise, she was seated quietly at the coffee table area, deep in thoughts.

He sneaked behind Ryeowook to give her backhug.

“I’m back, I’m so tired....” Kyuhyun aegyo-ed to her. Ryeowook’s body stiffened when the man she thought she would marry hugged her.

“What’’s wrong?” Kyuhyun asked when he realise that she was not warm to him like before. Ryeowook feels that her enemy is hugging her instead of a lover but she didn’t want him to know that she’s remembered yet.

“Nothing.” She answered plainly.

“Are you too tired?” Kyuhyun asked worriedly nd gave her a peck on the cheek.

“I said I’m fine!” Ryeowook snapped as she break free from his back hug. He was surprised by her sudden outburst but tried to understand her, thinking that her evil aura is still growing in her.

“O...Okay. Go and have some rest, we will talk tomorrow.” Kyuhyun said. Ryeowook gave him a fierce blink before turning in to sleep.

Kyuhyun thought that the evil aura is getting out of control and was only more patient to Ryeowook.

That night, Ryeowook was unable to fall asleep. In the dark, she turned herself to face Kyuhyun who was sleeping on the floor. She watched her enemy sleep peacefully and start to think of how did she even thought of marry him? Even she’s lost her memories, how could she have fallen for him?

She fell asleep cursing herself.

The next morning, Ryeowook woke up early as she did not want to have the morning kisses with her enemy that she used to do when she lost her memories.

She was walking along the corridor and met Taemin along the way. He bowed to her and said “Good morning!” But Ryeowook ignored him and just walked past him. Taemin was surprised that the friendly Ryeowook did not reciprocate his greetings.

“Sir, did you quarel with Ryeowook? She ignored me when I greeted her.”

Kyuhyun shook his head and said “no.” At the back of his ind, he knows that she will be out of control soon, still unaware that she has regained her memories.

Ryeowook walked into the woods behind the imperial garden to walk to the place where the tower that trapped her used to stand. She stood in front of the rubble and recalled the countless nights she spent screaming and begging to be let off but no one saved her. Kyuhyun, her captor who claim that he love her, never once thought of releasing her. She clenched her fist in anger as she remember the painful past.

“Cho Kyuhyun.... I won’t let you off.” Ryeowook mumbled to herself.

She continued walking to a distance, out of the palace premise deep in the forest. She came to a stop at the mouth of the river and squat in front of a passionfruit tree and dug the ground. Her fingers start to bleed as she dug deeper, but she pressed on until she saw a box. She took it out and blew away the dirt on it.

Ryeowook smirked as she opened the box to reveal a beautiful traditional fan. “I miss you.” She said to the fan and kissed it.

This was the weapon that was given to her teacher 10000 years ago. It was said that this weapon could paralyse any magical being if she were to cut the target person with it. She hid this secret weapon before she started to go to school with Kyuhyun. After she was captured, she did not have the opportunity to retreive it.

Ryeowook Kept the fan in her shirt pocket and returned to the palace.

Kyuhyun’s job everyday would be to persuade the ministers and citizens to accept his marriage. The prime minister would be the leader to oppose to it and demand that Ryeowook be locked up again. Despite some citizens that were touvhed, the powerful politicians stir up a big fuss about the matter.

Even though the light master was bombarded every day, the thought of living the rest of his life with the dark queen gave him strength. On his way back to his chamber, he saw Haejin. He felt a little guilty seeing her after he rejected her.

Haejin, worried if Kyuhyun knew what she’d done, avoided his eyes.

“Haejin ssi.” Kyuhyun called and she froze.

“How are you?” He continued.

Haejin heaved a sigh of relieve and answered “Fine, sir.”

“Um... Take care.” Kyuhyun said awkwardly.

As Kyuhyun was about to turn away, Haejin called “Kyuhyun ssi.”

“Yes?”

“Um... How is the dark queen?”

“Ryeowook? She’s fine.” Kyuhyun answered.

“Ac...actually, she has...” Haejin was about to spill the beans when the voice she hated the most called out “Haejin ssi.” She turned around to see Ryeowook smiling eerily at her as she walked towards them.

“Ryeowook ah!” Kyuhyun called warmly. Ryeowook put a hand on Haejin’s shoulder and gave her a light squeeze which sent shivers down her spine.

“What are you saying to my Kyuhyun? Nothing useless right?” Ryeowook tightened her squeze on her shoulder which almost made her wince.

“N...no...” She answered in a trembling voice.

“Are you jealous?” Kyuhyun asked cheerfully.

“I... I got to go.” Haejin quickly said and nowed before escaping from the dark queen.

Kyuhyun hugged ryeowook at the wasit which made her uncomfortable. “Let me go.” She said.

“You look great when you are jealous.” Kyuhyun said.

She scoffed and tried to get away from him. Kyuhyun released his grip on her and held her hands.

“Follow me!” Kyuhyun pulled her along....

As Ryeowook followed Kyuhyun, she put her hand in her pocket to hod her fan, looking for an opportunity to strike. They walked the way back to the chambers.

The dark queen was making sure that no one waws around them. She took out the fan from her pocket and was about to open it when Kyuhyun suddenly turned to face her. She quickly kept it back in her pocket.

Kyuhyun smiled at her.

“This is for you.” Kyuhyun opened the door of their chamber.

The room was decorated with fresh flowers and balloons. The dining table was filled with her favourite cakes, steak and candle lights.

“What is this?” Ryeowook asked with her eyes turning wet.

“I notice that you are easily frustrated lately. I want to make you happy but of course, the one suffering would be Taemin. It took him the whole day to prepare all these, but in exchange for a day off.”

Ryeowook couldn’t help but feel touched by the love she receive from Kyuhyun. She walked towards the table to see a heart-shaped cake with words ‘I love you, my kaleidoscope.’

A drop of tear escape Ryeowook’s eyes but she quickly wiped it off. Kyuhyun hugged her into his arms tightly and he said “Scream at me when you are angry. I will accept them all. Just don’t leave me.”

Ryeowook hate herself for being so soft hearted at Kyuhyun. She hugged him back and cried in his arms.

“Why can’t I hate you?” Ryeowook thought to herself.
