Not all is as it seems.

Oh Sehun is the Ice Prince. A man of routine. A boy with absolutely nothing to wish for. Fame, money, influence; he's got it all. He's more assured about his life than most are. In fact, his life consists of one day after the next of unchangeable circumstances. It's a solid line headed for success.

Of course, things can't always stay the same. And there's one person who wants to make sure of that. 

The Oh family receives "threats" on a monthly basis, if not more. But when one turns out to be more real than not, the family takes desperate measures. And in comes Huang Zi Tao.

Foreword

The boy in the picture was thin and tall, a mess of dyed blond hair fell over his eyes and the tiniest of smiles graced his features. He must have been posing with a friend -- there was an arm around his shoulder and his hand made a lazy peace sign -- but only half of the photo remained. The man holding the photo memorized the boy's features in a matter of seconds and quickly threw it into the flame beside him. He watched as the ember up the dry scrap of paper and engulfed it in its heat. He almost wanted to smile at the sight. Very soon, that boy would end up just like his picture: simply a pile of ashes and lost memories.
 
"Are you ready?" The man looked up at the person speaking to him. He nodded. "Good," The other person replied. "Then you can head off." 
 
The man walked away from the already-dying fire, one-hundred percent prepared for whatever outcome would come to him. It would surely be success. Failure wasn't an option.
 
Mission: start.

I may use people like "Sehun's father" and "Jongin's father", but I'm making up these people and I mean no harm in saying one or the other as I am NOT referring to their real persons and 2) Do not assume what you read is all there is ;)

(SPOILER ALERT)

I don't always cry, but I cried for this one. Teared up a bit in error, and some more at the final chapter. Honestly, I love it because it wasn't just a tragedy for the sake of a tragedy. It was the two fighting for every last breath and they didn't die for a romanticized reason.

One thing I keep wondering about though. I might have missed it somehow in the story, but what exactly was Yifan after that he wanted to kill Sehun so bad? And did he ever get it? I feel like at some point, they had stopped caring about what they were initially after and wanted to kill the two for the hell of it along the end, but is that really the case?

Chapter 29: I'm crying so much omg, I cried even more with jongins letters! I don't usually like reading ones with sad endings but this is honestly amazingly written and I've re read it 3 times XD

Chapter 29: Gosh i can't believe that 2 years passed since I read this story, time really flies!!! But i still cry while reading the last chapter this story is so bittersweet love this fic so so so much.

Chapter 29: This fic is the one which hurt me the most....I almost cried! Kai is so innocent towards the end and it killed me....but quite happy Tao and sehun is together, somewhere. Ugh...I wish yifan, minsoek and jongdae just died, not much interest for minsoek and jongdae's death....at least for yifan....I hate that person.
Anyway....THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING UP AN AMAZING STORY. You are the best ...you just rock. Thanks author nim...please continue with your wiring skills! ^^
