I was lying on my bed, trying to sleep when my phone rang. Byunghun is calling me. “Yoboseyo?” I answered my phone

“That was one serious ” He suddenly said from the other line “He was harsh back there”

I playfully rolled my eyes “And you were the one who told me that eavesdropping was bad”

“Not my fault you had to talk loud that made me curious” He chuckled

I smiled “That was one serious talk, wasn’t?”. I could feel him roll his eyes “Tell me about it.”

“I didn’t know it would hurt me so much” I bluntly admitted “I thought I would be fine about it”

“Why are you so affected?” He asked me

I shrugged even though he couldn’t see me “Maybe because it had always been him who protected me. No other guy dared to touch me because he was always there”

“Then let me protect you from now on” I felt sincerity in his words

“You don’t have to” I told him “I could take care of myself.” I assured

“I don’t have to. I don’t need to. I’m doing it because I want to.” He corrected. “There’s a big difference between those words, Joo Eun”

I smiled unconsciously and waited for him to continue.

 “But I can’t do it if you won’t let me. It is your life, anyways” Byunghun said

I chuckled and said “Okay, if you do want to, then you can protect me. But if you don’t feel like it, it’s okay. I won’t expect more of you”

“You should because I just don’t do this stuff randomly”. He said. You smiled as if he could see you.

“You should go to sleep now, Joo Eun” He told me. “I talk to you tomorrow.”

“Okay” I agreed “Sweet Dreams, Byunghun”

“You too”. Then we both bid goodbye.
