Luhan walks up the stairway to heaven.

Regrets peel off his skin as milky pearls, roll smoothly down his body and fall with the perception of shedding light. He glows with each step, free; unrestrained. There is nothing holding him back, and he moves with great confidence.

Loneliness is his companion, not among the bright flowers. He wanders from side to side, picking, smelling, wondering. When a butterfly tickles his cheek, he cries out with an innocent delight, laughing as if laughter were the sole purpose of life.

Bell tones sound clearly and ring out, hovering quiveringly in the air. He almost stumbles in his eagerness to reach the sound and gasps a child gasp, running quickly up the way. At the top, he is a distant golden figure, blazing with light and life.

He’s welcomed, and the last of him disappears into the secret bright taste of good and wonderful things.

He’s gone.
