Scandal
Drabbles-
Kyungsoo knows something is wrong as soon as he smells the perfume on Jongin. Sure, Jongin works at a dance studio, and sure, there is nothing wrong with him helping out a lady student who might be liberal with her perfume.
What’s wrong is Kyungsoo has noticed this perfume for four days already. Of course, he could be going paranoid, because what if this student is just (and Kyungsoo snickers a little at this) a particularly bad dancer that needs extra help? But he doesn’t think any degree of incompetence would result in that much perfume rubbing off onto Jongin, and he doesn’t like to imagine Jongin’s hands on her waist, guiding her feet and movements. He definitely doesn’t like to imagine Jongin perhaps taking her out to lunch, or maybe an early dinner.
Kyungsoo frowns. This is a problem.
So, because Kyungsoo is not a person to slink in the shadows, he comes out and confronts Jongin about it. He can tell right away from the whitening of Jongin’s face that he is correct, and he stands there in the kitchen, feet tapping threateningly, wooden ladle smacking ominously into his hand.
Jongin denies his accusation, which doesn’t surprise Kyungsoo in the least. He should have known, given the person Jongin is, that Jongin’s love wouldn’t last. So, Kyungsoo thinks, if he’s going to get this thing, this scandal, over and through with, he had better do it right. Finally, after a few minutes more of Kyungsoo’s unnerving gaze, Jongin confesses.
But Kyungsoo has this all planned out and knows how to get back in Jongin’s favor, so after graciously nodding to Jongin’s apology, he proceeds to inform him that he is done with this relationship, done with them, and done forever unless Jongin can make it up to him.
What happens after is a flurry of offers to take him to lunch, to dinner, to anywhere he wants. Walks in the park, ice-skating in the winter, vacations in the summer - he will do it all for Kyungsoo, if only Kyungsoo will stay with him.
Kyungsoo accepts with a slight smile. After all, what else can he say?
