In life there's people out there who are always trying to hurt you.

All you have to do is accept it and learn from those people.

Throughout high school I have only had two boyfriends. Like every guy at school they either like me because of my looks or because they just want to mess around and make the rumors true. My first boyfriend was sincere at first but then he proved to me that he didn't really like me. My second boyfriend GunTae, he wanted to take things further. I broke it off but he still found a way to be in my life. After them I never really looked at guys the same I have always hated them since then and there the ones I'm more mean to than the jealous girls. I just can't let any more guys into my life let alone my heart. I'm just looking out for myself, that's not wrong.

As me and Sierra are walking towards fourths period she notices something's wrong.

 -"Okay spill it."

-"Spill what? What are talking about Sierra?"

 -"Why you’re so quiet, you haven't spoken once or even noticed that that girl over there gave you the stink eye."

 -"What! She did. Who was she I'll-

 -"Don’t you can get her back later but now tell me what's up."

 -"Ughh fine. Do you know what kpop is?"

 -"Hell yea I do. Best music ever!!!"

 -"Okay well someone from the kpop industry contacted me last night."

-"And....."

-"They want me to become a trainee and move to Korea."

 -"OMG. That's amazing. Please tell me you said yes. Omg that's amazing my best friend is going to be an idol."

As I nudge her and she gives me a death glare I give her one back -"Sierra shut up. I don't want anyone to know. Look I don't know what to say yet its just too suspicious like why would they want me?"

 -"Why wouldn't they!! You’re an amazing dancer. Look we will talk about this later. I'm going to be late to AP History. Bye Heejoo"

As I walk into the band room and set my things down and get my sax down, I see Kathy already ready sitting just looking through her phone.

 -"Hey Kathy."

 -"Oh hey what’s up. Its Heejoo right?"

-"Yea."

 -"So what can I help you with today?"

 -"Oh um nothing really I just thought it would be good to talk to you today" I do a little nervous laugh "Oh okay. Are you okay today?"

 -"Ummm yea why?"

 -"Oh it’s because you don't look like your intimidating self today you look kind of down."

 How can this girl possibly know? She's good. Should I just tell her I mean the chances of her knowing what kpop is pretty small. It won't hurt to try right?

 -"Well to be honest I'm kind of confused right now. I’ve got this huge problem and I don't know what to do about it."

 -"Well what's up, tell me maybe I can help you out."

Should I tell her? I mean she doesn't look like someone who's after me. Maybe I can trust someone other than Sierra right? Sierra of course won't be mad she will be ecstatic to see I'm making a new friend. She looks like someone I can trust I think I’ll let one more person into my life.

-"Well do you know what kpop is?"

 "Ha clearly you don't know me that much. I mean everyone in school pretty much knows that I'm into kpop."

 -"oh well I don't really talk to anyone at school other than Sierra."

-"Okay so what about kpop?"

 -"Well last night someone from JYP Entertainment came to me and wants me to become a trainee for their company Big Hit Entertainment"

 -"OMG no way that's so cool. What did you say? Do you know what group you’re going to be in or are they making a new one? If you ever meet BTS get me an autograph or something. Tell Rap Mon that were getting married so to contact me to start planning our wedding."

Omg this girl is something alright. I think she's okay to be in my life.

As I burst out in laughter "Omg you are the most creative creature ever ahaha. So you know BTS?"

 -"Do I?! Ha there one of my favorite groups. I even have a BTS instagram account. It’s all about BTS. Go check it out its called BangtanOfficial."

-"Aha okay I will later on. Well I guess I’m going be on your instagram account pretty soon."

As I watch her face go from totally happy to confused to wide eyes I can't help but sit back and burst out in laughter.

-"No way it can't be."

 -"Yup. They want to make BTS a co-ed group and they think me and the group members will get along well because we all have hard working personalities and we will mesh well."

 -"No way that's ing amazing. Wait so you said yes to their offer." As I stop laughing and go back to my serious face I think about it some more.

 -"Well that's the thing. I don't know yet. I want to say yes but what happens if it’s not a success. What if I just make a fool out of myself? It’s a great opportunity but it’s a huge risk and I really like the group members they seem to be really nice guys but I already promised myself to stay away from boys. I just don't know what to do."

 As I lay back on the chair I notice her thinking too. We stay quiet for a few more minutes as everyone is finishing setting there things to prepare for band class to start I start to wonder. What if I take the offer? Will things turn out good will I get along with the guys? But more importantly will my parents let me? I mean they might hate me but I'm pretty sure they love me deep inside. Will they be willing to let their daughter go half way across the world in order to do something that might fail?

-"Say yes" Kathy says interrupting my thoughts

 -"Huh?"

-"Say yes to them. It’s going to be weird in the beginning but I'm pretty sure you will catch on quickly. And don't worry about the fans I'm pretty sure they will love you too. I’ll talk good things of you on my BTS account."

As she gives me this gummy smile I can't help but smile back. She really knows how to make someone feel better and she's helped me clear my thoughts out good. As I say thanks and get up and walk back to my seat. I get through the rest of band and fifth and sixth period. I and Sierra talk about the same thing and she tells me somewhat the same thing Kathy told me.

 * "Take the opportunity Heejoo. It’s going to be a great one. You’re going to do amazing and everything will be a success. Don't worry about me I will be fine. And I will never lose contact with you I promise you. So think of it a little more and I hope you make the right decision"*

 As we say our byes and I get into my car I drive home with all the windows down and my music on blast. Today's one of those rare days were I don't have any soccer or dance practice and I don't have band activities so it’s a free day. As I pull into my drive way I notice both my parents are home. Great I knew today was going to be a bad day. I walk into the house as quiet as possible when I hear my mom yell my name to come to the kitchen. Walking towards the kitchen I notice that she's actually cooking. What's the special occasion? Are we having guest over? As I walk into the kitchen I notice my dad’s sitting in the dining room with someone. He looks like a man in his 30's. Who is he? He seems to be one of my dad’s friends because all their doing is laughing and looks like they know each other.

-"Heejoo say hi to Mr. Jeong" my mother says

As all the puzzle pieces begin to click I realize its Jeong Wook the guy from last night.

 -"No need to introduce us we already know each other don't we Ms. Kim?" Mr. Jeong says

As I fake a smile I think to myself what could this man possibly want now?

 -"So Mr.Jeong here tells us that he has talked to you already. Is that true Heejoo?" My father asks.

-"Of course and just like I told her I told you guys the splendid offer I am offering her" Mr.Jeong says

 -"Well that's stupendous" my mom adds

 -"So we are all on the same page. Great." Says my dad

"So what do you say Heejoo are you going to take my offer?" Mr.Jeong asks.

As my parents look at me with anticipated eyes I think do my parents even care that I'm leaving half way around the world? Of course they don't as long as I'm making money and it gets into their wallets it’s all okay. They don’t even care about my opinion I'm pretty sure they already signed the contract.

-"Can I have some more time to think about it? I need to make sure I'm making the right decision. Now if you'll excuse me I have homework to do."

As I bow politely I walk out as quickly as possible and run to my room. Is this all a dream or is it reality? What should I do? There's so much I want to know but I know can't get answered unless I say yes. What will I do?

After taking a quick nap I wake up and notice its 8 pm already. I decide to go out and take a night walk. Walking outside has always been one of my things. It clears my thoughts and relaxes me. I suddenly remember about Kathy's BTS account and decide to check it out. As I push the follow button I look at the pictures and can't help but remember how cute they are. While admiring their pictures I get two texts messages. One from an unknown number and one from Sierra. I open Sierra's first.

 As I open the unknown one I can't help but laugh

 From: unknown

Message: Hey it’s Kathy. I'm glad you found my ig account. Is it to your liking? Kyakya Just remember to think things clearly. I’ll support you throughout your decision. Hwaiting! (:

Did Kathy and Sierra plan this? Ahaha as I reply with a simple thanks and smiley face I put away my phone and continue walking. Once I get close to my street I pull out my phone again. This time I'm making a call. As it begins to ring I can't help but think I'm an idiot for doing this I'm going to regret this sooner or later. As someone picks up on the other end I take in a huge breathe.

"Hello. Mr.Jeong. Its Kim Heejoo. When and where do you want to meet up to sign the contract?"
