Prologue

.

It was an ordinary Sunday afternoon in the busy city of Seoul where some children were happily playing in the park with their parents watching them, while teenagers with their own love ones were roaming around, taking pictures. It was their time to relax and have their peaceful moment with their love ones when—

“WHAT?!”

“I do not know what to do, Dara! H-help me!” Bom cried hysterically. “I r-really love him. I thought h-he was the one.”

Seeing her friend’s current state, she cursed Bom’s boyfriend in her mind. ‘Bom doesn’t deserve this!’ She angrily thought, clenching her small fists simultaneously.

“I was really hoping that you’ll meet him soon,” Bom sniffed before continuing, “And when I asked him to meet me, I was greeted with those words, Dara! I can’t ing believe it!”

Bom wanted her boyfriend and her best friend to have a special meeting so she didn’t introduce the two of them yet to each other. She was planning to finally acquaint them together, but out of the blue, her boyfriend dumped him, saying that he’ll get married soon. At this reminder, she couldn’t help but cry again.

Not knowing what to do, Dara wiped her friend’s tears using her hanky. She really doesn’t know what to say, never having let herself indulge in such a thing before. Yes, she doesn’t have a boyfriend, but she has a mutual partner for four years named Youngbae. They’re mutually in-love but Dara isn’t into relationships because she’s afraid that it’ll only hurt her in the end like what was happening now to her best friend, Park Bom.

Dara so was lost into her thoughts when all of a sudden, an idea struck her mind like a lightning bolt. She smirked evilly before stating, “I’ll ruin his best day for you, Bom. I promise.”
