Dara is in a park sitting under a big three watching the magnificent view of the lake in front of her. Chaerin brought her,no, literally drag her to this place. But no regrets, the place is so beautiful. It really calms her down.

“You like it?” Chaerin ask her sitting next to her indian style with a can of soda and bag of chips on her hands

Dara was startled   “Hah? Yes it’s beautiful”

“Here” Chaerin handing her the soda and some chips

“Thanks” she said smiling taking the soda and chips

“ so, fire it up!” she said while munching her food

“ huh?” Dara ask not sure what Chaerin means

“ tell me, your story. Why did you end up here? Because I am sure you are not from here”

“How can you say I am not from here?” Dara asked curiously facing Chaerin

Chaerin put down her food on the grass, dusted her fingers then faced Dara

“Because of your strange accent. Sure you can speak Korean but somewhat you sound alien like” She said teasing dara

Dara raised her eyebrows crossing her arm “ aissshhh, does mocking me really makes you happy Ms. Lee?”

Chaerin laughed “Yes! Because you look so cute when you are mad”

Dara pouted her lips “you are so mean” pretending to be mad

Somehow Dara felt comfortable around Chaerin now

Chaerin gulped at Dara’s action. Gosh those lips are so inviting. She felt like she is on fire. She grabs her soda then consumed everything in one gulp.

“ No, seriously tell me what are you doing here.” She said after calming herself

Dara looked at Chaerin for a moment. Chaerin is smiling at her “I am looking for my father. He left even before I was born.” Dara stopped, looking at Chaerin who is now listening to her attentively

Chaerin noticed her stopping “Go on, I am listening”

“I grew up in the U.S with my mother and my grandfather. My mom died because of cancer 3 years ago. It’s just me and my grandpa now” dara didn’t notice her tears falling

Chaerin scoot nearer to her then caressed her back “ shhhh..it’s okay. Just let it all out”

Dara wiped her tears then forced a smile “So here I am looking for my dad”

“Why?” Chaerin

“What do you mean why?” dara ask

“I mean he left you. So why do you still look for him?”

Dara was silent for a moment thinking “Maybe because I need to know why he left us. For closure I guess. So that I can move on with my life with a peace of mind” dara said staring at the lake

Chaerin is staring at Dara, silently admiring her beauty. She has this feeling in her heart that she needs to protect this girl, to be with this girl. Everything about Dara is so beautiful for her.

Dara noticed that Chaerin is staring at her. She can feel herself blush slightly. Her heart beats faster whenever she is with Chaerin. This feeling is kinda strange for her. Actually she never felt it before.

“So when are we going to look for him?” Chaerin ask

“We?” dara ask raising one eyebrow

“Yes! We. I am coming with you. We’ll look for your father together” Chaerin said cheerfully

Dara shook her head “ No you are not coming with me.”

Chaerin frowned “ Wae? You think I will let you go alone. You don’t even have any money” she said in her arrogant tone again

“Please, Ms. Lee. Don’t start with that tone of yours again.” Dara said now looking straight into Chaerin’s eyes. “ I wanna do this alone. You said you are going to help me. You can help me in any way just let me do this alone” Dara said almost like pleading

“Ok. Thank you very much” Chaerin said to the person on the other line

She gave out a sigh as she walks towards Dara forcing a smile.

“All is set” she said as she approaches dara “Accommodations, guides, tickets. All is set up” she said proudly

Dara smiled at her sweetly “Thank you” then out of the blue hugged Chaerin “ I will be in total mess without you” she said sincerely while still hugging Chaerin

Chaerin was in total shock. Even though she wants to hug Dara back her body wouldn’t follow her. She just stood there letting Dara hug her, enjoying the warmth of her body, smelling her sweet scent. It feels like there’s a drum inside her threatening to rip her chest open. She wishes that this very moment would just freeze so that they can stay like that forever.

Finally, Dara’s luggage has arrived at her hotel. This is the day that she will travel to the province of her father. It’s gonna be a 14 hours travel from Seoul. She bid her goodbye to the hotel staff while walking out with her luggage. Her smile is ear to ear when she saw Chaerin at the Hotel entrance leaning her back on her Black sports car waving at her. Chaerin looks gorgeous in those Dark shades and black leather jacket with a simple white shirt inside.

“Hi” she said happily as she approaches Chaerin

“Hello. Let me help you with that” Chaerin took Dara’s luggage then put it in the backseat. She is going to at least take Dara to the bus stop.

“There. All set” she said smiling to Dara “ let’s go”

 Dara nodded then went on inside the car

Chaerin went in and started the engine.

At the Bus Stop…

“Here is your ticket” Chaerin handed Dara her ticket “I already put your bag inside the bus so that it won’t get lost again” Chaerin chuckled

“Yah! Knock on wood!”  Dara pouted

“Just joking.” Chaerin face turned serious “Here take this debit card, here is a map and emergency no. you can call anytime you need help. My friend will be there to assist you. He is a tour guide there. Don’t worry you can pay me later. Just take care of yourself and don’t hesitate to call me if you need anything ok?” she said looking straight into Dara’s eyes.

Dara blushed slightly “Thank you so much. I’ll pay you as soon as I complete my quest ok” she said shyly while taking the things that Chaerin handed her

They were silent for a few moments. Then the bus no. of Dara was called

“That’s your bus. Take care of yourself ok?” Chaerin said with a very sad tone

“I will... Bye Chaerin!” she kissed Chaerin on the cheeks then she rushed towards her bus

Chaerin is touching the cheek where Dara kissed while waving goodbye to Dara who is now sitted on the moving bus

“ Bye Chaerin. Thank you. This is for the best” Dara whispered to her sadly while clutching to Chaerin’s hankie and shirt. She never returned it; she is always making an excuse not to give it back.

On the other hand, Chaerin is smiling like a fool as she is still touching her cheeks watching the bus drive away.

“Oh no, my cute grumpy girl this is not goodbye yet. I won’t let you go that easy” she said while chuckling

She immediately went into her car and drive away with a very mischievous smile glued to her face.
