How the flower petals flew away from the bouquet that sat between her palms, oh, Dongwoon didn’t know what was so mesmerizing about it, but he was completely captivated for a moment.
Even the narcissistic man that he was couldn’t take his eyes away. Her smile that complimented the snowy color of the irises’ end. What was so hypnotic about it that got him eyeing, endlessly like the hands of a grandfather’s clock that eternally go round and round? The ivory black hair that cascaded passed her shoulders and the chocolate almond eyes that never seemed to stop beaming—he found her almost flawless to his own honest opinion, “almost” because she was ill.
“Hyuna, you have to take your medicine,” her maid called to her once the picnic table was set up, and she headed over to the young girl to grip the handles of her wheelchair.
Dongwoon ducked his head into the open newspaper in his hands, trying not to look so noticeable as he sat on a bench across from them.
She was beautiful, even with her pearl white skin and pink-washed lips, she was so eye-catching.
Am I in love? He thought, shaking his head in disagreement, because the only person he loved was himself.
It was only himself ever, because he had came to realize there was going to be no one else like him, and out of all the people in the world, he would only trust and care for himself.
However, he was enthralled with this girl as if she was the earth and he was the moon, and he couldn’t get away from her magnetic pull.
I couldn’t possibly even like her. H
