There's a girl who often pops up in my head. I've never seen her before, never heard of her name or know who she is, but she's always there in my mind, smiling at me with the most gentle smile ever. I would always have this scene with her replayed in my head over and over again. She'll be standing out in the cold night, and I'll grab my coat and put it on her. I'll ask her if she wants to go inside, and then just before she replies with a head nod, she gives me that grin. That glowing expression that shines from her lips, telling me that she's happy with me standing by her side.

It's always that same exact scene when that girl comes to my mind, and I fear it's a memory that I had forgotten a long time ago. Yet I have no clue who she is, and important people just don't come and go. They make an impact in our lives, and we happen to keep them in our memories forever. But even when I remember her in that kind of way, I still don't know her.

Who is she? Why does she keep appearing?

“Taeha, you ready?” my friend, Yuhwan, asks me as I put on a cap.

“Yep. Can we go get some coffee on the way first?” I question in return and step out to the warm weather. “Been feeling so tired these days.”

“Why? What's up?” he asks as we begin walking.

“It's just...I've been coming across this illusion in my mind lately.”
