He has naturally bushy hair. It's curly like twirly locks that are created after coming out from a tornado, but it's frizzy with strands proudly sticking out of nowhere in various directions. His interesting hair isn't just curly and frizzy, but it's puffy, and that's what makes it look like a bush. A spikey, green bush that gets very annoying when certain branches start growing out of its ordinary shape, and its owner will have to put an effort to cut the loose ends before it looks too funky to stare at.
He always complain about his messy look, not desiring the natural hair that makes him stick out like a sore thumb, so he makes me straighten it sometimes since he doesn't know how to do it himself.
“I don't understand why I just couldn't have straight hair like yours,” he asks while we're hanging out at the mall, pointing at me and then grabbing a hand to touch my smooth, aligned hair that fascinates him, unlike his bushy one right now. “I love it!”
“Soohyun, your locks are better. And by the way, I'm tired of straightening your hair all the time!” I brush his hand away from me. “People die to have your hair.”
“My hair? The ugly bush that sits on my head?”
“If we dye it green, I'm sure you can camouflage in the background of a scenery of bushes. You can finally be an iguana for once, like how you always wanted when we were kids!” I laugh at him, not meaning to hurt his feelings, but he gives me a face and crosses his arms.
“You know what? The other day Taecyeon was talking to me, and he mentions there's a cure to fix my hair.”
“A cure? Nice word choice.”
He interrupts me, “Don't in while I'm talking! Anyway, he said there's a permanent hair straightening product that will keep my hair straight like yours! Well, it's only straight until my roots grow in.”
“Soohyun, dude, don't waste your money on something that's not worth it.”
“I think it's worth it! I'll have straight hair, and you won't have to straighten it anymore either!” he says while walking off as if he's dreaming. “Straight hair!”
“Hey, wait up!” I catch up to him, grabbing his shirt to slow him down. “Haven't you ever heard of how you always want what you don't have, but you can't always get what you want?”
“Wow. You gave me two meaningful phrases in one go. I'm very impressed,” he states, not particularly impressed at all as he continues walking, trying to speed up as I hastily follow him and still hold his shirt to keep up.
“What I mean is you want straight hair only because everyone else have it and you don't. You have to realize that you can't get it just because you want to. You have to learn to embrace what you already
