Foreword

"Uh Annyeonghasaeyo"

I looked up to see her standing at the counter. She had bright eyes-a cross between a caramel and a lemon colour-they seemed to radiate warmth and happiness. Her hair was medium brown-no hint of it being dyed. 'She seems half asian, half european', I thought to myself,' as well as a foreigner'. I looked down, embarrassed that I seemed like a fan boy.

"Sorry", I mumbled and she glanced at me in shock.

"I know a bit of English you know," I smirked, my senses coming back to me "Are you a tourist?"

"Yes I am hahas", she half laughed, half said. Her laughter was melodious, rippling like waves. I wonder what her voice sounded like if she sang.

"One small iced chocolate please," she murmured staring in a confused manner at me.

I dragged myself away to do her order. I thought no more of her stare as I gave her her drink.

"Here you go, enjoy your stay," I smiled, secretly hoping she would visit again soon.

The bells tinkled as her friend and her left, their laughter leaving a faint echo in my mind. 'What a strange start to a week' I mused to myself and resumed to wipe down the machines and blenders.
