Ways to Steal a Kiss
Four's A Love StoryYoonjoo sighed impatiently as she watched sheet after sheet of paper flow out of the photocopy machine. Her boss had handed her a stack of papers to photocopy- again. It wasn't even her job, they had part time helpers for a reason! But her uptight boss, Jessica Jung didn't seem to be aware of that certain fact. Or maybe she just liked to watch her suffer.
Bored out of her mind, she looked around aimlessly, when a male figure walked through the door. Her eyes lit up instinctively, "Myungsoo oppa!", she called, pleasantly surprised. Perhaps not just because she would have someone to talk to now, but because it was him.
"Oh, hey Yoonjoo", he smiled tiredly. It was late in the evening, and Sohye had sent him down to grab some files he left from the morning. "What are you doing here?" He added.
She beamed, "Oh, uh, my manager told me to photocopy some files, so uh...", she gestured to the stacks of paper next to the machine.
Myungsoo walked over to a table and grabbed a folder containing some sketches, "wow, I didn't know you were the head specialist of photocopying", he joked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"More like head specialist of running errands", she rolled her eyes, but a grin was permanently plastered onto her face.
"Should I help?", he offered kindly, and Yoonjoo nodded enthusiastically.
Not long after, they both occupied a machine, and were working hard to get everything finished quickly, as it was almost time to leave work. Yoonjoo bit her lip nervously as she stared at Myungsoo secretly.
"So, erm..." Yoonjoo cleared , and he looked up to meet her gaze, "do you want to go for some coffee after this? I mean, since it's probably time to go after we're done with these".
Myungsoo shrugged casually, "sure, why not?", causing her to mentally cheer like a love sick teenage girl, suddenly forgetting all about Daehyun.
Sohye looked up at the clock, which was nearing seven o'clock. *Why hasn't Myungsoo returned with the files yet?* She wondered, scratching her pencil on the paper frustratedly. After five minutes of waiting, she stood up and grabbed her belongings. "Whatever", she muttered and decided to head home.
Just as she got off the elevator, she heard a voice call after her. "Sohye-ah!"
Daehyun beamed at her, "Hey, do you wanna go for some ice cream?", running to catch up with the girl who was already heading out the building.
Looking up at the dark starry sky, she turned to her best friend, "Isn't it a bit cold for ice cream?" She felt a light breeze, and rubbed her arms.
He pouted sadly, "But I'm craving ice cream... And we need some best buddy bonding time!" He declared happily, and Sohye rolled her eyes, holding back an unattractive snort.
"That was corny..." She mumbled, "but okay, if you insist", she added, even though she really wanted to go with him from the start anyway.
Daehyun grinned, and lead her to his car. "Shouldn't we invite Yoonjoo too?" Sohye added as they got into the warm, silver porsche. He shook his head immediately, fastening the seat belt.
"Just us two best friends. And by best friends, I mean best friends who played together when they were still in nappies". He chuckled when Sohye turned red due to the weird image that popped into her head when he said that.
Two and a half hours later, Yoonjoo and Myungsoo had somehow ended up at a bar after a short trip to the coffee shop. "Hmm..." Yoonjoo hummed with a red face, as she swirled her drink round. She was already drunk. Myungsoo on the other hand, was completely sober; he could hold his liquor very well.
"Yoonjoo, I think we should go, you seem really drunk", he grabbed her glass and set it on the table.
She pouted, her hand planted on her face to keep her head from banging onto the bar table. Her cheeks were tinged scarlet, though it was barely visible cause of the dim blue lighting. "I'm not drunk", she waved her free h
