I woke up as realization came over me. I was lost in thought for a while before remembering the dream. I ruffled my hair. I have been getting weird dreams lately and for sure this was the nth one. First, was the kiss and now, I dreamt of a guy telling me that I'll be happier if I become a mermaid and that I should jump out of the building right after he whispers me the spell.

I heaved a deep sigh and got out of my bed. 

I came to have a sleepover at my cousin's house since it was a Saturday.

It's been a week since I saw Kris in person. And I still have a shock from it. Kris ran for his life like a wind as soon as he sensed that I’ve recognized him.  That left me dumb-founded for the day. It wasn’t like I am some maniac sasaeng to run away from. For the rest of that day, I can’t help blushing, especially on my way to school. My previous questions popped up again in my mind….I can barely concentrate during my chemistry long test.

What if you saw Kris in real life?

(…I JUST DID.)

What if you met accidentally and you became friends?

What if you become his girlfriend?

What if he kisses you in REAL life?

...

Either way, I bet I’ve already made a bad impression of myself. Oh well.

Anyway, it’s not like I would see him again. I cheered myself with that thought and sprung out of the bead.

When I went down, my aunt was preparing food in a lunchbox. And she seemed a bit in a hurry.

"Good morning," I greeted... with my raspy morning voice (which was really y. Lols)

"Oh, it's good you're awake now," she said smiling.

"Are you going somewhere?"  I asked.

"Yes, but I do not know how I could give your cousin his lunch. She said, worrying.

"I could do it," I said.

Her face beamed. How cute.

"Really?" She asked me. I smiled and nodded.

She held up my hands and her eyes sparkled. "Thank you so much," she said.

I chuckled. "Okay, I have to go now. You do know where he's training at right now... right?" my aunt asked.

Oops. "Could you write down the address or something? I might end up in the other side of the world trying to find that entertainment," I said, smiling sheepishly. I am in no good when it comes to directions. If I have been to that place, then I would already know how to go back here and there.

"Okay, you show this to the driver and he'll take you there," my aunt scribbled something on a paper. She handed it to me. S.M. Entertainment.

"Don't forget to eat breakfast. And locked the doors before you leave," she kissed my forehead and bid me goodbye.

I plopped down on the couch and the TV. There was a random comedy show that was supposed to be funny. I changed the channel to a music channel.

When I felt my stomach grumbling, I stood up and went to the kitchen to eat the food my aunt made.

The food she made was so delicious. My cousin is lucky to have his mother cook for him. I have to suffer from my own cooking. I never got used to my cooking, though... unless it's ramen and egg bread. So I often eat take-outs or ramen.

I was washing the dishes when a familiar song was played on the TV. Then I heard a deep voice that started rapping. It was deep yet enchanting...

The voice pulled me out of the kitchen. It felt like there was a magnet attracting me to the TV.
I unhesitantly went to the living room to watch the video. There were bubbles on my hands but that, I did not care.

My eyes were glued to the screen as I had seen that face.

HIS FACE.
His eyes, his nose then to his lips.

I cursed under my breath and mentally slapped myself. Stop it, Hyebin.

His face suddenly appeared out of nowhere in my mind and he was stuck there. Why can't I forget the dream about Kris Wu? Why can't I just forget it and just remember that I'll be happier if I become a mermaid?

Okay, neither was possible but I don’t care. I still think being a mermaid will make me happier.

I stepped out from the shower and got dressed. I placed my phone in my pockets and some bills. I placed my headphones around my nape, grabbed the spare key that my aunt had given me years ago and the lunch for my cousin. I stepped out of the house. I turned the doorknob, making sure I had locked it.

I called a taxi and luckily, there was an available one. I showed him the paper and he just nodded and started driving away.

"We’re here," the driver told me. I paid the fee and stepped out. "Thank you," I said and smiled. He smiled back and nodded before driving away. At least, I got a polite reply.

I was standing in front of SM Entertainment. It sure was huge but I am not sure if I am allowed to go inside.

I took out my phone and swiping the screen, looking for my cousin's number. I called him. I stood there, waiting for him to answer.

"WHat's up?" he finally answered. "I brought you your lunch. i'm outside," I spoke. "You brought me my lunch? Really? Saranghae!" You heard him chime. "Yah, stop it. You’re disgusting," I said.

I suddenly heard some teasing in the background. "Is that your girlfriend?"  "Yah, get a room!" "Did someone say lunch?"

I could not help but laugh at how my cousin fought back with all the teasing. "Yah! Hurry up, or I'll eat all of your lunch!" I said. "Wait! Don't! I'll be right there!" he said then hung up.

He sooner came out with another boy, who looked familiar... I bowed to him and he bowed as well.

"I'm sure you know him, this is Xiumin," my cousin said. Xiumin smiled at me and I bowed again. He... is cuter in real life.

“Are you the one who brought his lunch?” Xiumin asked, pointing his thumb at my cousin.

“Uhm…yes.” I reached for the lunchbox in my backpack.

Next thing I knew, I was being dragged into the building by Xiumin while my cousin was trailing from behind.

At the canteen, my cousin and Xiumin sat beside each other while I sat in front of them. Xiumin's eyes were glued to the lunchbox.

"Waaaah!" He chimed as the food was revealed. It appeared to be a very appetizing bento box. In all honesty, I would have eaten that and stolen it from my cousin. If only Xiumin wasn’t around…

They started eating... well more like sharing. "This is so good! Next time, you should cook lunch for two," Xiumin said as he placed his hands on my shoulders, smiling. "But I did not cook this," I said. Although it was a shame, I have to tell the truth.

THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!

I don’t want to end up like a girl in those dramas wherein they pretend that they know how cook. Then, when they’re asked to cook, they do not know what the freaking thing it is that they should do. No, that’s too stereotyped. I’m unique, you see.

"Then bring lunch for two, araso?" he quickly replied with his hands now patting my shoulders. I nodded obediently.

“Yah, Xiumin. Stop eating my lunch! Haven’t you eaten your buns a while ago?” My cousin protested, moving the lunchbox farther away from Xiumin.

“Aww, come on. You know that’s not enough for me.” Xiumin said, stealing the box and gobbling down the egg rolls. My cousin sighed and stared longingly at his lunchbox.

"Yah, Xiumin!" someone called him from behind. "Get away!" Xiumin said while stuffing his mouth with rice.

The person who spoke sat beside me. I sat there, frozen. I could not believe it. Tao was beside me. My eyes were glued to my cousin and he was glancing at me once in a while. He knew Tao was my bias and he knew that I was screaming inside by then.

What should I do? I mouthed at him. He shrugged.

Useless. I kicked his shin and he shrunk in pain, ducking under the table to rub the aching part I kicked.

Xiumin noticed him for a while but paid more attention to the food. I secretly made my evil laugh. Tao seemed to have noticed me. I bowed and greeted. He smiled and greeted back.

OMG. HE SMILED :D I held my composure but I sure was screaming and jumping .

TAO. JUST. SMILED.AT.ME.

I feel like crying. My bias just smiled at me…My head was in a daze. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world at this moment. Kyahaha~~

Just then, another image of an exo member flashed in my mind, making all my neurons to pause and seem to freeze for a while. I could almost feel the blood draining out of my face. I have to get out of here soon. What if he sees me? What’s worse is, what if I see him? Would I be able to keep my calm?

I stood stiffly from my seat and bowed, gaining the stares of my cousin, Xiumin and of course, my beloved Tao.

“I-I have to go. See you later, okay?” I said mainly to my cousin.

“Aww…you’re going already?” Xiumin asked, looking up from the lunchbox.

Honestly, Xiumin, I’d love to stay forever here. But as much as I would love too, I don’t think I’d be able to keep my calm for so long especially IF I saw you’re duizhang again.

“But it’s a Saturday! You basically have nothing to do.” My cousin added.

“Actually, I have some homeworks to do.” I said with a sigh, remembering the project deadlines due on Monday.

“Oh, okay then. See you next time I guess.” Tao said, waving at me.

HE.JUST.WAVED.AT.ME.

TAO.WAVED.AT.ME.

“No. She’s not going.” Xiumin said stubbornly.

Oh, Xiumin. You don’t know what you’re costing me.
