SOOYOUNG POV

 

 

I woke up and saw her fast asleep next to me. I looked at the clock.

5 AM.

Today is my day off, might as well spend it well.

 

 

I got out of bed silently and grabbed a jacket to go downstairs. Sitting in one of the chairs at the kitchen table I remembered the conversation Yuri and I had.

 

“Apologize,” I mumbled.

 

 

After dragging me out, he took me down to the café down the street.

 

“Sooyoung, I know you mean well for him. We all do. We’re all friends and we know him well. He hates the thought of us dead.”

I let out a long sigh.

 

“I know…I know he does,” I said calmly, “But how can he just tell us to sit back?” I ran my hand down my face.

“I took it too far.”

“Just apologize to him,” Yuri said, “He’s not okay right now. None of us are since we’re in this now.”

 

“Just give me a day to calm down, please. It’s getting me all…all boiled up inside for no reason. I don’t think I can face him,” I responded.

“You have a day off tomorrow. Use that day and-“

“I’m not going to tell Sunny anything. I don’t want to drag her into this mess. It’s already bad enough that Aiden is getting hunt down.”

He faintly smiled at me.

I stood up from the chair and looked at him.

 

“I’m going to go now. I guess I’ll see you.”

 

 

I felt arms wrap around my neck.

“Why are you up so early baby?” She asked.

“I just woke up early. Why are you down here?” I asked.

 

 “It got cold.”

 

I faintly smiled. “Come on lets go back.” I lifted her in my arms and went back to the bedroom.

 

 

She softly gazed into my eyes as her the back of my head.

“What happened yesterday?”  She asked. I furrowed my eyebrows.

 

“Aiden and I just argued.”

 

“It didn’t look like just an argument,” She said gently touching the cut on my lip.

“It went from an argument to a fight,” I said.

“What were you even fighting about? I’ve never seen you this mad before.”

“Nothing important,” I said.

 

She looked at me and frowned.

“It was really nothing?” I nodded. She let out a sigh.

“Okay, I’ll let you off of this,” She said, “Just-“

“That anger won’t come up again,” I said, “No more hulk Sooyoung only gentle giant Sooyoung.”

She smiled and pecked my lips.

 

“It’s your day off right?” She asked. “Yeah, why?”

“Let’s do something later,” She said. I smiled and nodded.

“First, let’s sleep a little more.” I pulled her toward my chest and fell asleep.

 

 

AIDEN POV

 

 

“All we’re trying to do is help. I understand you don’t want any of us to get hurt or die but we don’t want either of those things to happen to you either,” Donghae said, “I don’t know the pain of having someone I love and care for getting killed and I don’t want to know how it feels.”

I kept a blank expression on as I stared at the floor.

 

“I’m sorry hyung,” I said softly.

“Don’t say sorry to me. Say sorry to Sooyoung.” I shook my head.

“He probably hates me right now,” I said looking at him in the eye. He smiled at me.

 

“Hey, Sooyoung isn’t the type of person who hates anyone unless he has a good reason to,” He said.

“Yeah…he is like that,” I said faintly smiling.

 

“Just give him a little space and apologize.” I nodded.

“I will hyung.”

 

 

“Apologize,” I muttered to myself.

He’s right it’s not safe to be here alone.

I sighed and went downstairs.

 

“Why did I buy such a big house?” I muttered, “There’s no one to share it with.”

Jessica and Taeyeon flashed in my mind. I shook my head and drank some water.

 

“Why am I thinking of them?” I heard my phone buzz on the table.

It was a text from Taeyeon.

 

FROM: Tae

What happened yesterday? Are you okay?

 

As I was about to respond Jessica texted me.

 

FROM: Jess

What was going on yesterday? Do you feel fine?

 

TO: Tae

It was nothing and I’m fine.

 

TO: Jess

Nothing and I feel fine.

 

 

My phone starting ringing in my hand.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Mr. Liu? This is Officer Choi,” The man said on the other line, “I have something for you down her. Would you please come?”

“I’ll be there soon,” I said and hung up.

 

 

 

“What did you need to show me?” I asked as I approached his desk. He held up his phone.

“A man called me on my phone last night,” He said, “I recorded what he said.” He touched the play button.

 

“Aiden Liu will die. Anyone who stands in my way will die as well. Be careful Officer Choi or you’ll end up like the others.” He laughed sinisterly. “Watch your back.”
