“What are you even looking at, fart face?” Kyungsoo shouts as Chen wraps an arm possessively around his shoulder, sweeping him out of the kitchen.

“What do you want?” Kyungsoo continues to pout. Kai saunters over, glaring at EXO’s resident troll as he notices their position. No one’s allowed to touch Kyungsoo like that. No one’s allowed to annoy him like that either. That’s Kai’s job.

“I found another game for you to play,” Chen announces, Kai’s laptop in his hand.

“It was free online, because you know I never buy games with actual money. It’s called SCP: Containment Breach.”

“Sounds creepy,” Kyungsoo groans.

“Oh, no. See, this is the main character.”

Chen shows Kyungsoo a picture of some weird-looking alien thing. It’s short with a massive rounded head, weird grizzly looking teeth, and what could be four eyes, two green, two pitch black. It’s really pixelated and retarded looking, but Kyungsoo can’t help but feel thoroughly creeped out by it.

“No thanks,” he deadpans.

“But Kyungsoo, it’s a really cool game!” Chen continues, pushing him onto the lounge and sitting too close for Kai’s comfort. Perhaps this is just Chen’s way of getting back at him for playing that practical joke on Xiumin.

Chen plants the laptop in Kyungsoo’s arms, and Kyungsoo shivers, hand standing up on end as an unpleasant ambience feels the room.

“, that music sounds chilling. Do I really have to play this?” Kyungsoo asks. Chen nods at the younger enthusiastically.

“Of course!”

Kyungsoo doesn’t seem utterly convinced, and his eyes widen in confusion as Chen attempts to explain the plot to him.

“So basically you’re some guy that needs to run tests on that thing, SCP-173,” Chen begins, his eyes twinkling in excitement. He’s excited to ruin Kyungsoo’s sleep patterns, that’s for sure.

“So in the process of testing it, the thing escapes and security gets basically screwed over, and more weird things are released.”

Kyungsoo nods, unconsciously letting his eyes flitter across the room, checking to see everything’s where it’s supposed to be. Even something as simple as this scares him, and he wonders how he even does it with Chen going on about zombie apocalypse games half the time.

“You have to play it Kyungsoo!” Chen breathes in his ear. So Kyungsoo does, even if only to get Chen out of his personal space.

The first thing Kyungsoo hears is sirens and he runs across to the wall, scanning a sign. The door to a room opens, and he follows behind two men clad in bright orange suits from foot to toe, and assumes he’s likely wearing exactly the same thing.

That’s when he sees it. SCP-173. It’s standing by the wall, facing the opposite direction to Kyungsoo, and Kyungsoo lets out a shriek as the screen goes pitch black for a fraction of a second. Chen lets out a chortle.

“Oh, I forgot. Throughout the game, you control the character’s blinking. Each time you blink, that thing moves. Don’t blink. Blink and you’re dead. Don’t turn your back. Don’t look away. And don’t blink.” Chen explains creepily.

Kyungsoo has definitely heard this somewhere before.

“Dude, are you quoting Doctor Who?”

Chen lets out an awkward laugh and runs to the kitchen, bringing a bowl of popcorn back with him, which he proceeds to smother into his face. This must be because Chanyeol had that Doctor Who marathon two nights ago, and insisted on everyone watching ‘Blink’.

Like Kyungsoo wasn’t scared enough of statues and mannequins already, especially at creepy old houses and graveyards…

Kyungsoo glances back down at the screen. SCP-173 hasn’t moved yet, so Kyungsoo backs away slowly, eyes trained to the monster. He sees the vision on the sides of his avatar’s vision is slowly beginning to fade.

“You have to blink!” Chen announces.

“But I don’t want to!” Kyungsoo lets out a girly squeal.

Without his permission, the person he’s controlling blinks. He lets out a scream as he sees the alien’s face, and the screen before him goes haywire as his fingers spaz over the keyboard. He’s running, backwards, and he sees with each time the screen darkens in blinking the creature has mauled his friends in their orange suits, blood splatters clearly all over the walls.

There’s a crazed static sound, like someone’s holding a walkie-talkie on some random frequency against his ear, and Kyungsoo jumps. The thing runs at him and he almost throws the laptop at the television on the other side of the lounge room.

Almost.

“I can’t deal with this !” Kyungsoo cries. But Chen is quick to hit replay, his arm draped over Kyungsoo’s shoulder. Keeping him in place.

“Nope, no!” Kyungsoo mumbles as the screen reloads, everything slightly more darker than before. Chanyeol and Baekhyun take this opportunity to sit down next to him, laughing at his predicament.

“It’s not funny guys!” Kyungsoo says seriously.

He runs down the corridor, breathing rapidly. A blink, and the alien monster thing whatever it is, is right before him. Breathing down his neck.

“… aw hell no!”

The next blink, and it’s disappeared.

“No. No. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOO!” Kyungsoo repeats over and over, hyperventilating. Chen finds this absolutely hilarious and he sits back, watching as events unfold, shoveling popcorn into his mouth.

“Where did it go?!” Kyungsoo exclaims, high-pitched. Chen just shrugs.

“That little could be anywhere.”

A warning siren goes off, and Kyungsoo shrieks crazily.

“Oh !”

Kyungsoo lets his avatar press a button on the wall, and he makes it down the corridor, only to spot SCP-173 staring wantonly at the wall. Soon to be staring wantonly over Kyungsoo’s dead body.

“OH GOD!”

Kyungsoo urges his avatar to run, and he shrieks in surprise as air vents from above and below puff thick smoke in his face, obscuring his vision.

“Oh … OH WHAT DO I DO NOW?” The thing comes running at him, and he screams loudly, causing the rest of EXO to run out into the room.

“What the is going on?”

Kris shouts at him.

“You’re screaming like someone died!”

Chanyeol snorts.

“Someone did die,” he says candidly.

“And it was Kyungsoo.”

Kyungsoo punches Chanyeol, throwing the laptop forcefully onto the coffee table as Suho lets out a sigh of worry. Kyungsoo stomps off into his and Kai’s bedroom, turning all the lights on and hiding himself underneath the sheets.

“You should probably fix him up,” Chen tells Kai, who gives a small nod of agreement.

Kai jumps on the end of Kyungsoo’s bed, careful not to flatten him. He pulls the sheet up to reveal a sweaty boy with wide, scared eyes.

“Kai!”

Kai rolls his eyes, patting Kyungsoo on the forehead. He’s surprised this guy’s actually older than him, what with the way he acts like a five year old whenever something mildly scary crosses his field of vision. Kai’s annoyance with Chen instantly fades as Kyungsoo claws his way towards him, pulling him into a bone-crushing hug.

“So scary!” Kyungsoo complains, burying his head in Kai’s chest. Kai just rubs the boy’s back, sending a smile out the doorway as Chen passes by, eyebrow raised.

That night, Kyungsoo’s too scared to sleep on his own. He constantly mumbles about blinking, and Kai pulls him across the room, dragging him into his bed. Kyungsoo finally starts breathing steadily once Kai assures him he’ll scare off whatever’s trying to attack a worried, wide-eyed Kyungsoo.

Kai smiles at the sleeping figure in his arms. Chen’s going to have to show Kyungsoo horror video games more often.

It's a funny game, because the graphics don't really stand out but it's hell terrifying anyways. But I suppose... this little guy. SCP-173... what's not to love about him? He's cute right? /shot

Somehow, I don't think Kyungsoo agrees... :P
