“Will you go on a date with Donghae for 3 days?”

Jessica eyes widened at the sudden request. “W-w-what? But why? Oppa, are you leaving me? Oppa, you remember about my past right? That guy is D-donghae. No, oppa. I don’t want to! No!” By the time Jessica finish, tears were streaming down her cheeks and her nose was red.

Kris had the urge to punch himself for making the person he loves cry. He pulled Jessica into a hug, rocking her to stop her cries. “Shh.. I’m sorry baby.. I wouldn’t talk about it again. I promise.” Jessica buries her face into his chest, crying her heart out. All the memories from 5 years ago came back, haunting her again.

Letting her cry her heart out, Kris can feel his shirt wet from all the tears. Kris was torn. He knows Jessica won’t leave him for Donghae, and he don’t have the heart to force to do something beyond her will. But the only way to makes Donghae give up on Jessica is by making Jessica rejecting him. And to reject him, she needs to go on the 3-days date first.

“Why, oppa.. Why…” Jessica asked between sobs. She knows there’s a reason for everything Kris action. He’s always the sensible one in their relationship. Making her go on a date with someone she loathes is something he won’t do unless there’s a reason.

Kris was shocked with question. He was quiet for a few minutes, trying to calm Jessica first. He’s still torn with his decision. This is not what he expected when he decided to go back to Korea. Slowly, little by little, he’s regretting everything.

“Kris..” Jessica pushed Kris’s chest, looking at his face. She knows Kris all too well. Just by looking at his face, she knows there’s something bothering him. “Kris.. Tell me..” Jessica cupped his face to look at her. Kris let out a sigh, hugging her waist. Tucking his chin on her shoulder, he let out another sigh. This Donghae stuff is too overwhelmed even for Kris.

After a long silent, Kris takes a deep breath and decided to tell the truth. After all, they once promised for having no secrets between each other.“Donghae wants you back.” Kris said, breaking the silent. He tightens his hugged, hearing Jessica gasped. Jessica tried to push Kris away, but Kris tightens his grip, making it near impossible. Jessica huffed, smacking Kris’s arm.

“Are you going to leave me then? I know you once leave the Victoria girl because of Donghae. Are you going to do the same thing to me?” Kris gasped, after being reminded about Victoria. He once told Jessica about Victoria, but he didn’t expect her to remember it until now. “Oppa.. Answer me..” Jessica whined, struggling her way out of his hug only to be disappointed when he tightens his hug, again.

“No.. Of course not.. We’re going to get married, have babies, and live happily ever after.” Kris said, burying his nose on her hair, smelling her strawberry scent. Jessica giggled, forgetting the anger. “What do you mean by babies? I’m only giving you a baby.”

Kris pouted, shaking his head. “I want at least two, a boy and a girl.” Jessica giggled, nodding. “Agreed.” Kris pushed Jessica, looking at her face surprised. “Really? You’ll give me babies?” Jessica laughed, nodding again. “But oppa, what’re we going to do about Donghae?”

The smile on Kris’s face replaced with a frown. I-I don’t know. He wants a week to prove to me that you still have feelings for him.” Jessica gasped, frowning. “A week? That long?? 3 days. 3 days is the maximum I can stand.” She huffed. Kris chuckled, giving her a peck. “And that’s what I thought. So you’re okay with the 3-days date?”

Jessica contemplated before nodding. “But oppa, what if I fall for him again?” Jessica asked innocently. Kris’s face was serious. Admittedly, he did worry about that. Not because he didn’t trust Jessica, it’s Donghae who he can’t trust. He knows, Donghae has his own ways in handling girls.

“If that’s what makes you happy, then I guess I’ll let you go. Your happiness is what’s important.” Kris let out a small smile. Jessica was surprised to see how sincere he looks. She was expecting a protest or nagged from the jealousy Kris.
