“It was 5 years ago…”

*Flashback

“Send me back to California... Please… I can’t stand it here. I hate it here. I hate both of you for making me come here. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you!!” Jessica cried, kneeling on the floor. The sight of Jessica crying is new for both Mr. and Mrs. Jung. Jessica is always a strong girl. She may be sensitive and fragile, but she will never show her weakness for others. Except when it’s movie night and they will watch horror movie together. But that’s a different story.

“W-why? What’s wrong? I thought you like it here...” Mr. Jung asked, hugging Jessica to comfort her. At the corner of his eyes, he can see Krystal and Yunho looking at their sister worriedly, peeking from the stairs.

Mrs. Jung was the most shocked one among them. Few hours ago, she was excitedly helping Jessica gets ready for the prom. And now, here she is. Kneeling in front of them and begging them to send her back to California. “What’s wrong sweetie? You know you can always tell us..”

“I hate him.. I loathe him. I despise him.. Lee Dongh…” Jessica suddenly fainted, causing a ruckus in the house and everyone wonders who the 'Lee' guy is

“Is she okay?? SIwon-ahh! Answer me!” Mr. Jung shouted shaking Dr. Choi vigorously. Dr. Choi let out a sigh as he looks up at the older man. He can see line of wrinkles forming, resulted from his worry for the older daughter.

Dr. Choi cleared his throat, opening a file on his lap. “Jessica is fine. Her body is weak, though. She needs a lot of rest and need to be stress-free. She can’t worry too much as it will affect her body. As for now, I can’t say that she’s sick or suffering any disease since this is the first time this happen to her. But there’s a slight chances that she’s suffering narcolepsy.  But then again, it might be just because of fatigue. Let her rest and she’ll be okay.”

Mr. Jung nodded as he sighed. Dr. Choi looked at the older man worriedly. “Mr. Jung, I know you’re worry about Jessica, but you still need to take care of yourself too. My dad told me a lot of things about you and your family before passing down the job to me.” Mr. Jung looks up, smiling weakly at the younger man in front of him.

“That old man, he needs to take care of himself first.” Mr. Jung joked. Dr. Choi chuckled, agreeing with him. “I know. I need to nag at him a lot to make him take his medicine.”

Mr. Jung smiled, remembering his old friend. Siwon resembles his dad a lot. Too much, perhaps. Dr. Choi has become Jung’s family’s private doctor for 20 years.
